History

Established in 1984.

25 years ago a young man from Evergreen Park, who had already earned an extraordinary reputation as an expert on all things mechanical, realized his big dream and opened SOS Transmissions. That man is Pete Schmidt, and he brought with him, besides enthusiasm & energy, a singular vision of what his business could and should be. He believed in:

Pete retains his fascination and enthusiasm for what he does, despite grueling hours and scant vacations. He has become known for having a 6^th sense about vehicle problems, and for remembering past car repairs. And he has demonstrated an extraordinary talent for attracting the best technicians, and a determination to keep current with diagnostic equipment, aftermarket fixes, and continuing education.
