History
Established in 1979.
The Mad Capper Saloon and Eatery is one of the oldest family run businesses in the St. Croix Valley. The building is 120yrs old and has mainly been a bar its’ entire existance. In 1979, Marty Anderson created the Mad Capper. Ran it for about a year and a half and sold it to Dick and Kay Chilson. Their son Jeff and wife Tammy bought it in 2002 and it remains a staple in Stillwater as they just celebrated the Mad Cappers 30th Anniversary.
