Spumoni Italian Cafe & Pizzeria

We were seated after a short wait and our waiter took our drink order. After bringing the drinks, we ordered the calamari appetizer and our main courses. The calamari arrived and literally within minutes, our main courses arrived. We had barely just begun to enjoy the calamari. Since our daughter was with us, I didn’t raise a stink and just made room for the main courses. Shortly after the mains arrived, a different waiter working the table across from us begins assisting his customers by telling them about «Tonight’s specials». Wait, what? There are specials tonight? Our waiter did not share that little bit of information with us. As a side note, I ordered the vitello limone which was the worst I’ve ever had. The veal was overcooked and the lemon sauce was sweet. Thinking I now remember why it has been years since my last visit. Will not be going back. Very surprised at all of the positive comments. Maybe it was an off night? Maybe the waiter was new? Hard to say, but for $ 85, my money will be better spent elsewhere.

Spinoni has the best bread and gnocchi!!! Their service is great. The food is authentic Italian.
Sometimes it gets really crowded and too busy.

Cute, small Italian restaurant in the small town of Stevenson Ranch. They usually have no wait, and they have a large outdoor seating area. As for the food… Their salads are so-​so, nothing to write home about. Their gnocchi is delicious. I have ordered it every time and have not been disappointed. My personal favorite is the gnocchi with mushroom and pink sauce. The bread they serve the table is really great as well. All around nice place to come to dinner in Santa Clarita with children or just adults.

I’ve never ordered anything here that I didn’t like! Service is great and very accommodating.

Had lunch with my mom here today. Waiter was very attentive. Food was excellent. You can tell they took great care in preparing the food because it was well presented and delicious!

My husband and I finally gave it a try and it did not disappoint. The calamari is excellent and the wine selection was great. Large portions and great authentic flavors

We stopped by here during a road trip. We were hungry and in search of a good place to eat. We found that the food and customer service here was decent. However, as everything on the menu was upwards of $ 17, we expected the dishes to be pretty good. But, the food was pretty mediocre.
All in all, the food is pretty palatable, but the price makes it not worth it.

Any other day, I would give this place a 5 star! We have been coming here for years, staff is great, always friendly, everything you want to have while enjoying great food. What went wrong today? To say the stage, it’s a Friday night. Place it at 50% capacity at most. We get seated… And we sit… 5 more minutes. No one has been by to get our drinks order… We flag someone… Finally, we order food and drinks. The waitress takes the order without even doing a waitress small talk. Cut dry. We ask for olive oil to for our snack. She disappears. And we sit… And we wait… We finally get the drinks. Kids meal comes up, wrong food and only one order. We ordered 2. I had enough, ask the waitress and ask her if they are understaffed. She proceeds to say no and suggests she CAN get us another order for kids.
Too bad, we really do like this place. Hope they figure it out. Poor service, and no sense of accountability. Not even an apology…

First time at this restaurant. I was seated soon but had a table near the entrance to the kitchen so it was noisy and a lot of traffic past my table. It is a family restaurant so it was a little loud. The service was generally good but somewhat rushed.
I ordered the spaghetti w Bolognese sauce but it tasted like a plain meat sauce (just ground meat, no other meat, and did not taste creamy like it was slowly cooked w onions and carrots). It tasted good anyways. Would try it again.

Came back with the wife for a nice, quiet dinner on a Tuesday evening. As we remembered from a previous order, we aren’t fans of their pizza, but all of the entrees thus far have been spectacular. Wines are a bit pricey, and limited to which ones you can get a glass of, instead of a whole bottle, but the house cab ($ 8) was very good.
This time I ordered Penne Paesana (I think). The server helped me pick between 3 dishes and then he asked if I wanted pink sauce with this entrée. I didn’t know what that was so he explained it was the white creamy sauce (Alfredo, I assume) with a little marinara sauce mixed in. I am so glad he did because it was fantastic! I will definitely make that a routine.

Overall our whole family would recommend this restaurant. It has authentic Italian food (like gnocchi.) It’s quiet and a little small, but the interior is well decorated. If you’re looking for the authentic Italian family-​run restaurant, with great food and service, this is the place to go.

Marsala and marinara sauces were excellent. Reasonably priced. More casual atmosphere, less romantic. Live vocal music on this Sat evening. Latte also excellent!

I love this quaint little Italian restaurants. It is one of my favorite stops when traveling over the pass.

Finally back to Spumoni’s. We stopped going there for like 4 – 5 years due to a horrible manager who worked there. We refused to go until he left and good news, he’s gone. My family really enjoys going there. The food is great and the atmosphere is warm. They now have a entertainer that comes on I believe Friday and Saturday nights. He is fantastic. Just so happy to be back!!!

Pros:
The food is good and usually brought out hot. The rolls and tepanade good. Like being able to bring our own favorite wine (thunderbird 2016) the salads are always great and the staff superb. Adrian, the chef is amazing to watch, he must burn 6,000 calories a night The 60’s music is fantastic.
Cons:
The air conditioning is set too low and blows off the glass and puts a chill on a hot meal real fast.

Wonderful food, service, ambiance and prices! Wait staff was super attentive and very polite. We live across town, but we will surely be back for more. Thank you, Spumoni!

We came here for spaghetti and meatballs. The prices are in the higher side but it is worth it – Quality of the ingredients is better. They serve gluten free pasta for an extra $ 2.00. The taste of the dish we ordered for this Unilocal review is average. The gluten free pasta does taste different and as a health I feel this is a better deal than the carb high regular pasta.
Angie was our server and she was friendly and provided good service. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

For some reason my wife loves this place, myself on the other hand am not so impressed. The quality of food for the price does not measure up.
We ordered penne arrabiata, and a margherita pizza. The penne looked like something that came out of a microwave and the pizza was burnt.
We called in to complain about the pizza being burned, and the girl who answered the phone said «that’s strange your pizza is burned, I’ll let the cooks know right away». ?! No offer of our money back or a new pizza?!
Needless to say we are extremely disappointed with the food, the cost, and the service.
