The hotel is in the middle of renovations, or I’m assuming from the looks of it. From the outside I saw multiple rooms that the curtains were open and I saw multiple mattresses standing up by the windows. I believe we had a newly renovated room. The bed was just OK. The pillows were terrible. They gave us headaches and stiff necks. The bathroom was very nice, the shower head was great. The heat/ac unit in the wall under the window was terrible. It blew right on us and dried out our throat while we slept. The vents couldn’t be redirected. I could hear everything in the lobby, hallway and the people upstairs were making all sorts of noise. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs were bland and the sausage was disgusting. The waffles were, well, waffles. The front desk lady that checked us in was very pleasant and friendly, the lady that checked us out, not so much. I expected better from a Marriott hotel. I have stayed at other hotels in the area, I visit Stevens Point 1 – 2 times a year, and I think I’ll stay elsewhere next time.

I am a loyal Marriott customer, and stayed here for two weeks on a work trip. It is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Close proximity(walking distance) to a great place to eat. I was willing to overlook the fact that the scrambled eggs during breakfast were always empty. However, I draw the line when, on the last night I went down to the market to grab a water, and was VERY surprised at the STRONG smell of cigarette smoke wafting out of the office-isn’t this a smoke free hotel??? I paid for my water and after I got back to my room, had to put my clothes in a plastic bag due to the stench-I didn’t want to get charged the cleaning fee if they smelled smoke in my room!(I have asthma, don’t smoke, and why I choose a nonsmoking hotel). Very disappointed that the staff is allowed to smoke throughout the building. Not what I would expect from a Marriott property. This is an update after the GM commented, I appreciate the response, but there was a sign up that stated staff was helping other customers, and she appeared from the hallway, not the office. The smoke was coming from the office, not her clothes. I stood by the fridge right by the office door. I waited for over two minutes, which is why my clothes and hair absorbed the smell. I would suggest you have an outside enclosed seating area, or a window in the office or something for your employees. My husband smokes, so I know the difference between old and fresh smoke. Only fresh smoke permeates into clothing. I will give it another try, but it wouldn’t be the first city I choose to stay at a Hilton property.

I travel for business and have never stayed in a Fairfield Inn. I stayed at this Fairfield Inn and did not know what to expect. It was a fantastic stay. The staff was amazing. The room was very clean and well equiped. The bed was comfortable. I really only have good things to say.

Our family has stayed here a few times now and always has a great stay! The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful, and the complementary breakfast is great! We love the hot options and food always tastes fresh. My only complaint would be the hot tub. It is not very hot and this last time, it was dirty!
