History

Established in 1978.

Bill Campbell started the business in 1978 as a student going to Northern Virginia Community College. At that time the growth of the western part of Fairfax County was starting to really take off. There was ample work and too few moving companies in the area so the Campbell Moving Inc. grew quickly in it’s first 10 years. Bill Campbell leveled the size of the company off at 5 crews and trucks to be able to keep his hands on the business. Bill’s dad and son have helped in various aspects of the business through the years and son Matt who is serving his tour in the Army will take over the reigns soon after returning from his deployment in Afghanistan and leaving the Army. It has been a wonderful career for Bill and he will oversee the business during the transition to son Matt. We want to thank all our thousands of loyal customers from all the years and hope you will continue to support our next generation here at Campbell Moving Inc.

Meet the Business Owner

Bill C.

Business Owner

Bill Campbell grew up in Fairfax County and attended Herndon High School graduating in 1973. He attended NOVA for 2 years and then started Campbell Moving Inc quite by accident. He was just trying to earn some money to pay for the next school tuition by renting trucks and doing small moving and hauling jobs. He had no idea he would be starting down his career path and be turning the business over to his first son some 33 years later. The Campbell family has all taken part of the operations in one way or another at one time or another.
