I’ve been here about a half dozen times because my wife used to work around the corner. Every single time we ate here my wife and I agreed that we need to find a new place to eat lunch. The food is meh and mediocre. Sorry but no where near 5 stars judging it as a Greek restaurant, even judging it against other coney places it is not good. The Greek salad is embarrassing, skimpy and rusty. etc… Omelets overcooked and overpriced… Menu way too big for their own good. They should delete 90% of the menu and tell us what they’re good at making, because I never found it. Gyros were just ok, nothing to get jazzed about guys. lol

10 stars! This place is absolutely amazing if your looking for just a light snack or full out dinner this place has it all. My favorites on the menu are the grilled chicken club sandwich and their breakfast sandwich with Sausage you can never go wrong! And Oh wait don’t let me forget to mention my two favorite waitresses Nada and Rose! They are the two most sweetest nicest ladies ever with great customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Went here after searching for a place for dinner on Unilocal in the area. I saw on their menu on their website they have a greek trio for only $ 6.20, comes with Spinach pie, Moussaka and Pastitsio and pita bread. It was the best $ 6.20 I ever spent on a dinner, a great price and the food was good. For only $ 2.50 more you can make it a combo with 2 sides and soup or salad, but the $ 6.20 plate was plenty for me. Will definitely be going back, wish I would have found this place years ago.

Went to Greek Pantheon on a whim, I was craving some good tasting Greek food. This was not my first time so I expected the usual good service and good food. DEFINITELYNOTTHECASETHISTIME! The server«Rosie the wench» was rude! She got my order wrong and fought me about it. She spilt water all over the table and didn’t acknowledge her wrong doings. To top it off, she explained that the meal I ordered(the Greek trio) was not going to include the usual pastitsio that comes with it. After a few minutes of deciding what I would do, I opted to just take the meal without the pastitsio. After I enjoyed my plate of limp lettuce with ranch«salad» she brought us our meals, and to my surprise everything was included on my plate! Obviously she had no idea what she was talking about! To conclude, Rosie is a beeotch and I am not coming back, EVER! Suck it Greek Pantheon!

This Greek Goddess approves of Greek Pantheon! Authentic Greek dishes and an extensive menu of delicious dishes to leave you full every time you visit. I like to think of Pantheon as a «hidden gem» of Greek food in the Sterling Heights area by Lakeside. We’re all used to coneys and ethnic family-owned restaurants, but Pantheon took Yia Yia’s recipes and made a restaurant dynasty out of them. Pantheon has some of my favorite saganaki, pastisio, gyro & avgolemono. Tzatziki is perfect — thick enough and great flavor of garlic & cucumber. They also offer loukaniko and a huge variety of mezethes(appetizers) both hot & cold. They also have large salads available for parties and a great breakfast menu! The restaurant is small in size but the taste of this AMAZINGAUTHENTIC Greek food will leave you preoccupied. Pantheon employees always show great hospitality just like Greeks would expect!

Went here last night with my bf for dinner, upon his insistence, lol. Ironically enough, neither of us ended up getting gyros! He got some sort of large salad with grilled chicken, and I got the chicken shwarma — not on the menu, I believe, but they’ll make it for you. Shwarma is my FAVORITE because of the garlic sauce(tahini sauce, I think it’s called). I ordered it as a meal so it came with two sides + a soup … all that for like $ 8.70, which is a great deal. I got the chicken lemongrass soup which was chunky but delicious. As for the sides, I opted for the green beans and rice … I didn’t like the green beans because they put it in some sort of tomato sauce, the rice was yellow rice which is my favorite but again I didn’t like the sauce(though I ate around it). We also got the saganaki, which came with pita and was delicious. I’d definitely come back here if in the area! The waitstaff was very friendly and prompt on the water refills too, though granted it was closing time and we were the only people still eating.

I’m always ready for & in search of a good gyro, fellow Unilocaler Ken S says this is his go to place for Gyros Knew Id be nearby so called ahead, arrived it was ready. $ 7.50 alacarte Got back to the car, and the smell was pretty darn good, found a corner in the lot, opened it &ITWASHUGE! Took a bite & it was very good, plenty of meats & fresh tomatoes and the pita was nice, lite & warm-fresh I also enjoyed the way it was tightly wrapped in foil It was nearly perfect, the only thing was it did not have very much Greek sauce, so next time I will ask for or request more.

I have no idea how this place has a four star review. Maybe I’m an old school Greek Town snob but this place sucked all around. The waitress was absolutely stupid, there’s no way around it, unless she was high. That’s the only other explanation I have for her answers. The waitress seemed to think this Greek coney island was a real Greek restaurant, that was my misunderstanding by reviews I’d read. She acted like it was a Greek restaurant so I asked her questions pertinent to Greek food I’d had in Greek Town and she was confused. I asked if they had octopus in wine sauce and she said no. That lead to a discussion about octopus at the Laikon Café(now closed) and she said if I really wanted good octopus there was a great Japanese place down the street. HUH? I want GREEK food not Japanese. Once I figure out this place is more of a coney island I amend my order. My dish came with potatoes on the side and before I realized I was talking to the dumbest girl on earth who’d never experienced real greek food I’d asked her if the potatoes came in the same sauce as the lamb. She was dumbfounded again. At this point I’d realized this was not a real Greek place so I told her never mind. The potatos weren’t boiled like I thought, I had a choice of baked, mashed or fries. I asked for mashed and she asked if I still wanted the tomato sauce on them. WTF? Are you kidding me? NO. I asked for gravy, which I didn’t get. When I told her my gravy was missing she told me the kitchen was closed but went and asked for my chicken gravy anyway. She came back with beef gravy and shrugged like her shift was ending so she didn’t give a shit. The waitress was by far the worst part, the 2nd worst part was her friend seated at the table next to us(in a totally empty restaurant) and she kept talking to our waitress while she was supposed to be helping us. Last but not least the food was bland and definitely not up to my Greek Town standards. It wasn’t even up to my Coney Island standards.

I had been craving a gyro for a while now. I am happy to say that Greek Pantheon has a fresh and flavorful gyro! So much so that it’s breakfast time while I’m typing this review and I’m already craving another one. The restaurant is hidden back in a strip mall with your usual strip mall suspects. Upon entering for my first time I was first impress with how open and clean the space was. They didn’t get tacky with any sort of «Greek Theme» but they didn’t go over board much of anywhere else either. Booths line the sides of the space and table in the middle. Two TVs and a very clean rest room. It’s all I could ask for! I ordered a cup of chili. When it came out it looked like National Coney Island chili so I was a bit nervous. It was that consistency, but it had a much better flavor. I would get it again for sure. On to the lamb gyro with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce with a seasoned fries! The pita was warm and thick. The lamb was perfectly sliced, juicy, and had a great spice to it. The onions and tomatoes were fresh and the tzatziki made the entire sandwich meld together. The season fries were well done and a friendly accompaniment to the gyro. I didn’t leave but a crumb on my plate. I will be back to this restaurant, but I can’t say that I’ll be able to review much more that the gyro as it was so good I can’t imagine ordering anything else! Fat Friendly seating = Plenty

GREATPLACE!!! GREATPLACE!!! I’ve been going to the Greek Pantheon for about 4 yrs. now. The food is not only very good but, it’s fresh, very reasonably priced, ALL the soups are Mike’s own recipe, homemade rice pudding, Greek dressing,(to die for), hummus, tabouli, tahini sauce, tzatziki, spinach pie, dolmades, REAL mashed potatoes and all gravies are homeade by Mike. They offer so much more from their LARGE menu… if it isnt on the menu, Mike will make it for you… just ask… I’ve eaten breakfast there for $ 2.99, you get, 2eggs, choice of meat, hashbrows and, toast. They also have a $ 5.99 lunch special menu and, a $ 5.99 senior menu… free Wi-Fi…All the employees are very friendly and courteous too. I’ll DEFINITELY be going there again, and again… I’d give The Greek Pantheon 5÷5…

My wife had a hankering for Greek food on her birthday so we tried this place. Though she liked her dinner, mine was not good. My skordalia(garlic and potato) appetizer was inexplicably the color and consistency of a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake with little discernible potato(accompanying pita bread, the thick Greek kind, was fine). The spinach pie(Spanakopita) was so sickeningly cheesy that it made me want to be a vegan again. Bright yellow rice tasted as if it contained chicken stock(my fault for not asking, I guess). My green beans in red sauce were overly salty and lacking the nice sweetness of a typical Greek red sauce. The cabbage in my coleslaw was floating in its sauce. Aside from my food, we actually did have an OK experience. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The restrooms were clean. The staff were happy to turn off the obnoxious Fox 2 News Let It Rip segment when we asked(we were the only ones in the place). If you’re a non-vegetarian, your experience may differ from mine. If a find myself here again, though, I’ll order a veggie burger and call it a meal.

Great find! Excellent gyro and sandwiches. Very friendly waitstaff. Portion sizes were somewhat stingy compared to similar restaurants. Also, only 1 Free Refill on pop? Please. Who does that anymore? I would definitely give this place another try for lunch.

I don’t know why some reviewers gave this place only 3 out of 5 stars when everything in their reviews said they love it! Kinda harsh! I also love this place and because of that I’m giving it at LEAST a 4 star rating. Everything is homemade, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is very good. It’s too bad to see this place slow around dinner time. I understand it’s very difficult to spot from Schoenherr but I figured word-of-mouth would keep this place super busy. To the reviewers that are grading this place on décor, you are the types that will find something(anything) to complain about. You came here to eat, not take pictures.

I wasn’t expecting much from this place. I was in the area and in the mood for Greek. It’s a typical diner layout, pretty casual. They serve the Greek salad dressing in a syrup dispenser and I’m glad they did because when I tasted it I had to pour more on it was so good. My gyro was from a real rotisserie, they give you a choice of gyro w/extra meat but I ordered the normal size and it was pretty big. The gyro was tasty but the tzatziki was excellent with a nice dose of garlic. The vegetables were above average as well with a nice seasoning or stock that was added or cooked with. I’m surprised the ratings for this place are not higher, the food I had was great and the service very pleasant.

Skordalia! That’s why you should try this little gem… I love Greek food, and they do it well. The place isn’t much to look at in décor, but when they bring the meals out on the elegant white large dishes… everything else fades… This restuarant is close to family, and my sister and I enjoy going there because we know we will get our Greek fix for a good deal. Things we like, hummous, tabouli, falaffel, salads, pita bread, skordalia, and the service is excellent!

Friends and I stopped by Green Pantheon, simply because it was close to where we were having a meeting, and we only had a hour for lunch. I was a little apprehensive because I am a picky eater, and overall am not a fan of Greek food. Needless to say, I shouldn’t have been so worried. We walked inside, and it isn’t much to look at. It seems a bit barren inside, and there is no distinction between smoking and non, except that they are on other sides of the open restaurant. By the end of my meal I could taste the smoke from the single smoker on the other side of the restaurant. Although I guess after May this will no longer be a problem. The menu was pretty extensive, and like most diners(which I would say this is more of a diner then a Greek restaurant) they had a little bit of everything. There were daily specials and lunch specials, all at a very reasonable price. I went with one of the specials, and got a hot open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy for 4.99. Sometimes when I get this meal at diner restaurants the turkey is lunch meat, and that’s not what I expect it to be. Here it was real turkey. I got enough for each of my pieces of bread and it seemed like a good ratio of meat to bread. I dislike when I have lots of bread and only a small amount of meat. This was not the case here. The meat also didn’t overpower the bread. The mashed potatoes were tasty as well and the gravy topped it all. Overall an excellent choice for me in both taste and portion. I also had an iced tea. I am a picky iced tea drinker and something about this one just didn’t taste right to me. It was okay, but not delicious. Between my beverage, lunch and tax my bill was $ 6.72. I left feeling pleasantly full and feeling like I got a good deal for my dollar amount. The others I went with had a cheeseburger, a gyro, grilled cheese and the Greek burger. They also all enjoyed there food. It wasn’t the best thing we’ve ever tasted, but it was typical diner fare. I would probably go here again if I was in the area and needed a quick(the service was AMAZING and SPEEDY!) bite to eat, but I most likely won’t go out of my way to go back.
