Horrible customer service. The lady was extremely rude. After a few minutes we just decided to go somewhere else. We reserved a 4×7 trailer with the 1 – 800 number and was told we would get a phone call from an agent. Well, we got a voice mail saying they have a trailer at this location. We drove all the way there from Rochester. When we get there, I drive kinda in the back to see where it may be parked so I can set up my vehicle somewhere close to it. I see no 4×7 trailer. We do see two 4×9’s. So we go inside and were like «we reserved a 4×7» she says «sorry we don’t have a 4×7. We do have a 5×8 reserved for you» so we go back and forth with this confusion. She’s like «we have never had a 4×7. They don’t make them» ugh ok lady. You may want to check out uhauls website because yes they do. She was all cranky «I have your order right here you don’t have to call back the 1 – 800 number. I have you for a 5×8. What’s wrong with a 5×8?» To me… Nothing really but at this point we have given up on her. We wanted a 4×7 and that’s all we needed for two small appliances. So we ask about the 4×9’s. «Sorry we don’t carry 4×9’s. DUDE! So do you even know what you have on your lot? You have 2. After arguing with her she’s like «oh yea we do… They are motorcycle trailers» REALLY??? It’s the same thing as the 4×7 just longer. My gf and I were so done with her attitude and lack of knowledge on what she has in inventory. People that don’t know what they are doing should not try to do it. After leaving I went to the Troy location and they were more helpful and actually had a 4×7. I’ll never do business at this place again.

Came here today October 1, 2014 at 11:30am. Watched the guy vacuum my vehicle that took a whole 30 seconds. Also watched them clean my windows without using any type of window cleaner. Just a few strokes with a rag and then using the same rag to wipe the car off. Then off to the other side to smear the windows with no spray cleaner. My windows are worse now than they were before paying the $ 10. There was an article in the paper about the owners complaining when 17 mile was closed down for repairs. They are complaining about how the business has dropped off. Note to the owners: if you really cared about making money, then you need to perform quality work. If the quality is there the customers will be there whether 17 mile is open or not. You just lost this customer and I will never be back for your crappy service.

Worst car wash I’ve ever experienced. Worked at a car wash years ago where I was employee of the year, and there quality is pitiful. They charge me extra if my car is to dirty on the exterior. Haha and I don’t even drive or live on dirt roads. Vacuum service is pathetic and the car looks horrible afterwards. Mud and or dirt spots on interior doesn’t get wiped at all when I get my car washed there. Sad thing is the owner usually cleans my car.

Best place to get a car wash. I use the full service — always do a great job

this backus guy is a real crook his uhaul trucks are falling apart and the fuel gages dont work like they should he over charges and very rude ive rented many truck and by far this guy is the worst the tranny is ready to fall out the dash board in thesr trucks are missing nut and bolts his auto wash busness must not be doing so well so he has to screw people when they rent his trucks be very carfull when delling with this idoit ill only make this mistake once. my motto is what goes around comes around so becarefull people

Backus is near my house. I prefer their standard exterior wash to that of other car washes in the area. They towel-​dry the car. However, I’m deducting a couple of stars because the towel drying used to be more detailed; they would always get the insides of the doors. Now, they seem to be in more of a hurry or are just not inclined to do as much.
Nevertheless, Backus is a decent choice for car washes in this area.
