Glamour Nails

Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The place was definitely clean, but a language barrier made communicating with staff very difficult. I paid $ 47 for everything, but now all my fingernails have been shortened and cut unevenly, and I am not satisfied with the manicure I received.

Love my nails by Mindy. The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 star rating is because I’ve had trouble making appointments with this place and when I finally arrived at my designated time, it took an extra 20 minutes. I could understand it was a Saturday afternoon but make more room for your appointments then. Overall, clean place and generally nice people. Just call ahead of time and know what design you want so you’ll get the right person!

We have been going here since they opened. And I noticed that if I don’t get the girl that I request, most likely I will have to babysit the girl doing my nails. There’s no way I can relax because I won’t like it later. There is a big turnover as well. Every other time, my girl is no longer there.
Some of the girls rush through a pedicure like I have never seen. The quality of service has gone down tremendously. Not sure if I want to go back. I noticed there are a lot of new girls, some have NO idea how to do a pedicure. It boggles my mind. I’m not here to tell you how to cut my nails. Anyway. I am going to be looking for a different place.

First time being here, My nail tech was Coco. I’m coming back to see Coco, I got a regular mani-​pedi but she made it feel very special! BTW the location has and huge amount of nail polishes and brands, some even high end. But Coco was very detailed with my pedicure like I would want someone to be. Got rid of all the excess dead skin carefully and pain free! It does get pretty packed and she had to do my nails on the pedicure couch but I was cool with it. I just felt very bad because she had to stand in weird cramped angles while doing my nails. Sorry Coco. But I will definitely be back!
P. s. I did notice they don’t use the tub liners for their pedicure station but I saw multiple employees clean them very well afterwards. They don’t have the disposable tools you see in most places, idk if that’s a big no for some of you but I watched my tech clean them nicely. I’m excited and happy! My hands and feet look nice!

Buds Florist is wonderful. I’ve been going there At least 7 years and their arrangements have consistently been beautiful. Lorraine and her staff are so great to work with. It’s a pleasure shopping there.

Pros: very clean & well maintained salon, new tools are used (nail techs open up the packages in front of you), friendly staff, WIDE ARRAY OF BEAUTIFUL COLORS! Probably the largest nail color selection I’ve ever seen on Staten Island.
Cons: some nail techs more adept than others (it’s hit or miss here), but even with the nicest color selection, your manicures will never last more than a week. Even with gel. Truuuuust that. Not worth it.

Nice clean place, small, my gel didn’t stay but my gel never stays anywhere I go. They fixed it for me. Just know that the pedicure is not in a massage chair. I wasn’t thrilled.

This place turned out to be a little disappointing. I was looking for a new spot to get my nails done and came across this place. Very clean inside which is what caught my eye. The first time I went everything was great, but after a few times I’ve noticed I was waiting longer and longer (even with an appointment) which is a big turn off and I felt that they were getting messier with my nails and I felt kind of rushed so I no longer use them. If they see you on time, and take their time– they are great. But that hasn’t been the case for a while in my experience.

Nice manicure I used nu gen. It seemed like it wasn’t so popular. My sister lives in New Jersey and recommended it. They came nice took more time than I expected. People very nice.

Came here based on coworkers recommendations and reviews. The girl who did my gel manicure was ok except she cut my cuticles a little too much. My gel manicure chipped the second day, today is 1 week since I got the manicure and the whole gel nail came off as 1 piece!

The largest nail polish selections that I know of, friendly staff, clean, organized and they use small packages of one time use nail files. Trendy modern and great mani/​pedi. I had my wedding nails done here and everyone loved them. Prices are decent but worth it for a higher end salon. Basic pedicure includes foot/​leg scrubs and masks which leaves my legs and feet feeling so soft. They just started doing eyelash extensions which I will try next time, cant comment on that yet. I also come here for my waxing, they are clean and uses a special wax that does not hurt at all but you need to make appointments for waxing. I am pretty picky and I’m happy to finally find a nail salon I like with decent prices. Highly recommend!

Love the ladies that work here, everyone is so nice and great at what they do. There helpful and work with each other too which is really nice. The owners are always pleasant, always have convo with every customer and they always help you out with choosing a color, matching toe and nail color and letting you know if its what your looking for.
The place is def. GLAMOUR! All white everything and love the little mini chandeliers and décor on the walls.
I enjoy the lotions and scrubs they use on you for your pedicure, smells really good too!
Nail polishes are off the wall! Like you cant even decide on one thats how many colors they have and all top brand just like Zoya (vegan polish), OPI, Essie and some others. I think you will def. find your color here cause thats just how many they have!
Mindy is my go to girl, she’s so sweet and so talented with doing the most dopest and cutest nail designs, whatever you want she can make it happen! I always make an appt. with her but I have tried other girls in there too and they do great jobs as well.
I would make an appt. cause this place can get busy! You can book online which I love and always do, its so easy too!

Today was my first day trying out Glamour Nails. I was very impressed. Debbie did my nails. She is very nice and did a terrific job. She is very good at her job. She took her time and made she everything was perfect. She is also a very neat and clean person. I will for sure be going back!

Well I had a relatively poor experience here aside from the fact that my nails haven’t even been on a week and they look disgusting already. For starters I rushed out of work to get there on time. Arrived at 6:30 and waited until 7:10 before my pedicure was even started. The pedicure was nothing special, then when it finally came time to put my new set on at first she was taking her time then as everyone got closer to closing she started rushing. The place is very nice but for the price and that wait I won’t return.

I came where for the 1^st time to get a set of nails put on. I wanted the coffin nail look and I showed the lady the picture. She proceeds to cut the nails really short and file them completely different from the picture. She kept saying she like them short and not caring how I liked them. She then kept complaining how tired she was and that her arms hurt. I am sorry but I didn’t come here to hear you complain. She did a really sloppy job too. The gel they use is too pink and she left noticeable ridges. Not to mention they gel was applied to thick. They don’t have dryers here they use little fans that messed up all the nail polish that was applied. This set cost me $ 57 with the tip and I already took them off. I will never go back here again. They need better training at this place.

I love this nail salon ! They are CLEAN, professional, and I enjoy coming here. My manicures and pedicures last a long long time, and when I get gel manicures before traveling I know that my nails will still look good when I come back. They have great polishes, the décor is very fresh and airy which I love ! The staff also converses with you in English which I think is a huge plus. They give you massages while your nails dry, far better than a mechanical tacky chair. I like how everything is sanitized and you don’t have to worry about certain things like those cheap nail places. Prices are reasonable and if you look on valpak online, there’s always coupons !

I really like this place. All the staff is very friendly. The receptionist is hip and helpful when trying to pick out a color, design and schedule an appointment. My only suggestion is that they carry a larger OPI gel collection.

Being a girl is so expensive… But who cares! I love being a girly girl! =^_^=
ok let me just tell u this… this might be one of my go to nail salon… the nail salon looked amazing… cute lighting and welcoming staff… to begin with that is always a plus! For some reason the person doing my nails made my experience a little painful… But the outcome was fabulous!
Gel manicure polish experience!
1^st they get all the dirt out and cut your nails… and they do it WELL!
2^nd then they sand down your nails… they will be thin
3 then if your nails aren’t long enough which sometimes mine aren’t they probably cut the… or even it out for you to make them look good!
4. then they put on the gel polish and put your hands inside for a few times to make the gel harden
5. If you want design they do it after the basic coat
6 then they add an overcoat and dry it!
this salons will have samples on color gels… which is awesome… wished they had design samples but you can always tell them what you want and they will try to please your every need… and trust me some nail salons don’t care…
One of my dislikes would be… they are limited to some skills when it comes to being creative… but still better then most nail salons on Staten Island…
it would probably be best to check beforehand and call to set up an appointment… This place take appointments and walk ins… but they do have a lot of locals coming here so best be sure to just set an appointment so you don’t need to wait… yes there is parking but limited…

I personally really enjoyed this place. the décor was so simple and classy, and I loved the pedicure seats! The receptionist was really nice and made us feel very welcomed. The lady who did my nails was Rina and she was great. She took her time and didn’t rush me. I loved the results. My sister and friend who also went with me unfortunately did not have a great experience there, which is why I give 3 stars. The women who did their nails rushed through the entire process, leaving them unsatisfied with their dirty cuticles and polish. I was the first to start my mani and pedi, but last to finish. My sister also got her eyebrows waxed, but ended up tweezing them when we got back home because some hairs were still left behind. So yeah, this place is good, but I guess it all depends on the skill and pace of your technician!
It’s been a week and the polish on a couple of my nails already chipped!
