New Nail House

I had a hard time finding a nail place in Staten Island that does my nails exactly as I asked. I came here and Michelle did my nails and I was hooked. Every single time she delivers the exact shape/​design I want. It’s not a fancy place but don’t be deceived by the décor. It’s about the quality of the work and it’s superb. I have had a pedicure there and it was nice as well. If you are into the coffin, almond, stiletto nails and cool designs, Michelle is your go to person there. I will never go elsewhere. Btw, it’s far from my house and it’s worth the trip!

Someone had raved to me about this place while at another nail salon and recommended Gigi so I had made an appointment. She had said the pedicure’s were the best and I guess she wasn’t too experienced because I’ve had better. I got my nails filled in and then had a gel polish and my friend had a new set of nails. In just one week both of our nails looked 3 weeks old and like they needed to be filled in. Then mine had the gel chipping which I’ve never had happen and my friend’s nails were falling off. The place was pricier than I usually pay and definitely not worth it. I was given a coupon to come back and after I saw what they looked like after a week I knew I wouldn’t be bothering to go back there to use it. The nails were supposed to last for the holidays and just looked awful and my friend had hers off by then.

Always get my nails done here! At permanent French tips for $ 35 their prices are better than most nail salons in Staten Island. And the staff is very friendly!

I never write reviews but I had to because this is the worst nail salon I’ve been to. I can look past the fact that they don’t have the greatest color selection but there were other issues I can’t ignore. They aren’t clean at all! They don’t follow the proper regulations for cleaning and sanitizing. The lady that did my pedicure, Gigi, attempted to use the tools right after the man used them on the girl sitting next to me. Without even the most basic rinsing with water. They do not use the blue sanitizing liquid just a UV box which is supposed to be used WITH the blue liquid not in place of it. When I asked her for clean tools she took one from the manicure station that she had just finished working at. I would not let her use those either so she pulled a pair out of the UV box. Another example, the towels that you rest your feet on were wet when I sat down, so they didn’t change them between guests either. That is disgusting because they wipe of the dead skin on those towels. There was dust and dead flies on the ground. With a quick glance you notice it’s filthy, I was don’t want to know what I’d find if I looked closer. To make matters worse, another client walked in who I guess had an appointment with Gigi so she rushed painting my nails. Since she didn’t allow enough time for the coats to try in between, my one big toe nail smudged… the next day… when I wore a pair of pointed toed heels. It’s not threat my nails were still wet and I didn’t allow enough time for them to dry, 24 hours is more than enough time. I paid $ 20 plus $ 5 tip. It’s a good price for a pedicure but for the quality of service I received it’s overpriced. Never going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

Was looking for a new nail salon when a friend recommended this one. I love this place! The staff is friendly. The salon is clean. The prices are good. And most important… they do great work! Mimi is fantastic! She does my nails to perfection! Needless to say it is a place I will visit again and again!

Iv been to better nails salons… The way she did my pedicure was really sloppy I didn’t like that at all I aspected at least actually doing all the basic things you would get at any nail salon and she didn’t so I’m not that impressed… They were so chatty… Omg was that ignoring… ask for flower design they put like a few dot on my toes and a line ughhh I was not impressed lol
