We were recommended by Rev. Dorie to get our cake here. Our cake was a marble cake with a dark chocolate ganache and crushed raspberry filling and an Italian buttercream frosting. A+. The cake was moist and the frosting wasn’t too sweet. The tart from the raspberries helped balance everything out. No need for a cake tasting. :-) I had a good feeling about them so I didn’t have any doubts. Thank you for being a part of our perfect Tahoe wedding.

My daughter had a destination wedding and one phone call and everything was arranged. We did not do a tasting and she told us what size to get for a small wedding and how many cupcakes to get and the best flavors to accommodate a group. Now here is the amazing part, the cake was absolutely delicious, and can we talk about the frosting??? Everyone LOVED it! Thank you so much for everything!

Tahoe Cakes by Grace created a simple, beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake for our special day. We ordered a vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and traditional buttercream icing with a rustic stucco finish. It was amazing… everything tasted so wonderful and the cake was beautiful. Fantastically delicious birthday cake on short notice! My wife decided on a last minute cake for me and paid a visit to Grace and Elizabeth. The cake brought back memories of a long gone bakery from my childhood in Colorado that is gone but not forgotten.

Not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. Grace helped us with our wedding last year and her desserts, service, and creativity are as great as everyone says.
For our anniversary we made last minute plans to head back up to Tahoe and thought it would be fun to celebrate with the same pumpkin-spice cutting cake we had at our wedding (my wife and I scarfed the original and weren’t able to save any… It was just too good!)
Elizabeth was amazing about accommodating our order, and coordinating with us so we could pick it up. It was better than either of us remembered!
We could not recommend this business more highly.

We used Cakes by Grace for our wedding cake, and the cake was some of the best cake I have ever had. We were able to do two different flavors (one chocolate and one almond) and I seriously don’t know which one was better. Grace and Elizabeth were awesome — the cake was delivered on time and was exactly what we wanted. The tastings were great, but the actual cake itself was better than the cakes we tasted. I would highly recommend Cakes by Grace for a cake for any occasion.

We ordered a cake for our wedding which was in Lake Tahoe but we live in Hawaii so our experience was a little different but it was a great one! Even though we didn’t get to do any cake tasting, we were confident that the cake would be amazing and it was! We chose a one tier red velvet and it was delicious! We picked up the cake a day early and the process was simple :) You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend them!

Cakes by Grace saved my cupcakes! My brother was getting married in Lake Tahoe last weekend and the cupcakes we brought in were ruined! The frosting the other placed used melted right off the top. Grace and her team saved them with only a few hours notice. They were beautiful after they got done. Such great customer service and they even delivered them! Next wedding I attend in Tahoe I will be coming straight to them.

Grace’s cakes are the best. Not only do they look pretty but they taste amazing. My family goes to Cakes by Grace for all of our family celebrations and we go there often just to get her yummy cupcakes. You need to try the Irish car bomb and she also makes a less sweet white cake that is perfect for our 2 year old.

One of the best cakes ever. My daughter planned her wedding in So. Lake Tahoe, we live in the Bay Area. Cakes by Grace came highly recommended and boy oh boy, I would have to agree. Not only was it very elegant but was decadent tasting. We had both chocolate and vanilla cake filled with fresh raspberries and ganache. I’ll have to admit… started with vanilla and then had to have chocolate too. Absolutely delicious!!!
Just finished sending them a text to see if they ship cupcakes? I’d love to try some other flavored. My new son in law says the Irish Car Bomb is to die for. I was gonna purchase some cupcakes to bring home… but they were completely sold out at 11 am. That’s gotta say something.
If they don’t ship, I may be taking another trip to Tahoe soon. LOL

I live 2 hours away so I had to describe the decorative accents over the phone and order with no taste testing of the flavors. I ordered an almond cake with strawberry/whip cream filling and Italian butter cream frosting. It was absolutely perfect. The decorative icing and flowers were simply gorgeous and everyone raved about how delicious it was!

Wow they are great. They did 200 mini «Irish Car Bombs» cupcakes they were fantastic. All our wedding guests were raving about how great they were. We only had 2 left and we had a wedding cake too which was also so great it was virtually all gone too. Cakes by Grace were super professional, super friendly and helpful. We live three hours from this bakery but every time we go up we head there for their cupcakes. They are fantastic. I would recommend anybody who loves cupcakes to go to Cakes by Grace. Even those who are not cupcake fans they will be after visiting Cakes by Grace. Thank you so much again for helping to make our wedding day so wonderful!!!

Came in a little skeptical about this place since it looked like a house. Thought I was in the wrong place, but decided to come in anyways! As soon as I walked in, a friendly face greeted me and was very helpful. I came into to get a cake for my parents anniversary and wow, I didn’t except it to look as great as it did! She was very helpful in helping me find a good design. We got the marble cake and fresh strawberries. I couldn’t ask for a better cake! Cake was moist and strawberries were sweet. Everyone loved it! And we got some picky eaters in our family. We’ll definitely be going back here again.

grace was simply wonderful. I visited Graces’ bakery the evening before my wedding, since the wedding planning was very last minute. She was very helpful and very open to any ideas I had. I ordered the Red Velvet and Cinnamon/Apple cupcakes along with a Cinnamon cake. Everything was wonderful. I also ordered the Smores lollipops and they flew off the table. I saw them on the table and after a few minutes they were GONE!

My husband and I were married Nov 1, 2013 at the Edgewood. Grace made our cake for us and it was to die for! I let my husband choose the flavor and he liked the almond cake. I was a little unsure about almond cake but it was DELICIOUS! So moist and yummy and perfect.
We celebrated our one year anniversary in south Lake Tahoe and called grace to have the same cake made for us. We called on a Tuesday and she was so nice to have it ready Thursday. It was just as good as the first time. This will be our new tradition of having grace re make our wedding cake every anniversary.
