I got a complete toric contact eye exam for $ 80. Sears was $ 135 and Walmart $ 115. Same day appointment got me in and out in no time. Dr. Yi is insightful and funny. Great deal and great Dr.

I am a little torn with this place for a couple reasons. First, they may be new due to their very dull and rather spacious(empty) facility. Additionally, some of their equipment was out on the floor which, wasn’t a problem, but seemed a little unusual. I am not use to having measurements taken next to where you pay. The small room in the back is where the main machine and testing goes on. Moreover, I was only there for their exam for glasses which they offer at the very competitive price of $ 39 at this time. They had other promotions for 50% off lenses and frames, but as stated, I was there for the exam only. When the exam was complete, I asked the optometrist to measure my pupillary distance, but he refused stating, «We don’t do that here. That is the responsibility of whoever you’re getting your frames from.» Really? After the exam, I called Walmart to see if they would measure it. From my understanding it is an easy thing to do. taking no more than a few minutes. Walmart stated that only your doctor can do that measurement and since I didn’t get my exam from them, they couldn’t. I told Walmart optometry that I just got out of an eye exam where my doctor refused to do it. She thought that was odd. After all, if my doctor whom I had just got my eye exam from wouldn’t do it… and I can only get it from my doctor… what options are left other than doing it myself? I understand that I may have been cutting into his profit margin by not purchases lenses and frames from him, but he does practice a licensed medical field, am I wrong? It seems a little crass to deny me a requested measurement due to a missed sales opportunity. I was a little pissed upon leaving. Well, why four stars after that? Simply because I called my last optometrist to get that measurement over the phone so it wasn’t a big deal to me. I was ready to measure it myself… which i think is ridiculous that it almost came to that. However, I don’t know enough about the profession to claim foul on not providing me with the measurement for glasses I was going to buy elsewhere. Perhaps there is a liability issue? For that reason I cannot vote them down. The good was that the optometrist was professional and courteous and other than that little quip, every ran smoothly. He does make a funny face when adjusting the machine to my eyes… but overall it was a pleasant experience at an exam price that no other location could beat.
