History

Established in 2012.

Cypress Pointe Optometry was established by Dr. Pochi Huang who is a local product of Fullerton, CA. Prior to opening CPO, Dr. Huang spent 4 years working in San Gabriel and Chino Hills as an associate Optometrist at some of the busiest private practices. Having grown up in Orange County, Dr. Huang has always had aspirations of opening his own private practice in the area. Charmed by the quality and diversity of people, Dr. Huang decided to open his first office in the beautiful city of Cypress. Dr. Huang has a passion for patients and enjoys working with children. His favorite aspect of his profession is the people he meets and the relationships that are forged.

Business Owner

Dr. Pochi Huang is a local product of Fullerton, California. He received his B.S. in Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles followed by his Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from the Southern California College of Optometry. As part of his optometric training, Dr. Huang completed his externships at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ, and the Veterans Affair Hospital West L.A. Medical Center. Dr. Huang has practiced in a variety of clinical settings ranging from working with the visually impaired at the Southwestern Blind Rehabilitation Center, SAVAHCS, AZ, to working with the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Garden Grove, CA, where he discovered his talent for working with children.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Huang enjoys the gustatory arts, the great outdoors, and reading. And yes, Dr. Huang always reads with good lighting, good visual posture, and never forgets to take a break every 20 mins.
