Textiil creates hand crafted decorative pillows, taberunners, coasters, wall tapestries, and fabric gift bags from artisanal textiles — including batik, ikat and songket — sourced in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Our goal is to preserve the integrity of the unique, original fabrics while applying them and transforming them into functional, beautiful products suited to the way we live.

In addition to our core products, we do custom work. To the trade discount for interior design and home staging professionals (with credentials).

Textiil — Sourced globally, crafted locally

History

Established in 2012.

At Textiil we create beautiful, functional items from artisanal batiks, songket, and ikat designs for the community that loves global handicraft and design. Our goal is to help build awareness and accessibility, and to support craftspeople abroad so they can continue and expand their businesses.

I feel lucky to have seen the crafting and use of these fabrics in their own countries — and to be able to apply them in a way that both showcases the fabric itself, and fits the way we live. It has been a delight to meet local artisans and entrepreneurs and to find help and support from each country’s trade and tourist organizations.
