Update on previous review. After a disappointing initial experience with this store, I am happy to report that my opinion has changed. I called and spoke with the assist manager about my inability to exchange a gift from the store and my frustration in trying to do so. She was helpful and apologetic. I was told that I could in fact make an exchange in the store. Today I did just that and found everyone I encountered at the store extremely pleasant and helpful. The two women who helped me exchange and pick out something new were lovely. In addition, after finally having a chance to browse the store, I have to say that their merchandise is really beautiful. I still think it’s very expensive, but really nice. Beautiful things for gifts.

Interesting items only if you have a cottage home to decorate or if you throw a lot of house parties — more for the rich housewives…

Bizzarre combo of home décor retail shop and café. I quite enjoyed the environment once I walked in the door I was transported to a whole other world from what resides in the light industrial neighborhood outside. It’s worth the stop to shop or grab a quick dessert and bite to eat or tea even. Staff are more than friendly and ready to help.

This is such a unique place. They not only carry amazing dishes but all kinds of accessories. but the first time I went in I was delighted to discover a lovely café inside. My first visit was last november. Now I drive buy and see this big sign for Barry and Fred next door. I can’t imagine what it is. Well it turns out its a play on words for Berry and thread their most popular line of dinnerware AND the Barry and Fred is the discounted seconds… awesome and tons of extra adorable chackis Love it!

I was introduced to Juliska a few years ago when my fiancée decided to buy everything in their store. all of their stuff is well crafted and there are so many pieces to each set that it makes for great casual or formal place settings.
she loves breaking all of the pieces out when we have company (chargers to water pitchers to salt and pepper shakers). we have had a number of people over for dinner and at least once a night someone will compliment her on the stuff and ask her where she got it. she loves that. ha.
personally, as a guy, i normally would not pay too much attention to something like that, but when you hear it over and over again from complete strangers or friends alike, you know its not just an empty politeness they are making with their remarks.
i must also say, the glassware (especially the pichers and decaters) make for great wedding/​engagement/​birthday presents. 3 of my good friends have been on the receiving end of the Hugo Whiskey Decanter and all of them love it.
