We decided to try this restaurant based upon a recommendation of my wife’s co-​worker. We went on a Tuesday night in the winter. Was not too crowded but a few tables were occupied.
Ordered the Greek salad. It was very good, contained some nice lettuce types and was well presented. Had the pita and tzatziki sauce appetizer. We enjoyed it.
For dinner we had the large cheese pizza. We thought it was good. Not as think and doughy crust as other Greek pizzas in the region.
My 2 year old had the grilled chicken kids dinner. He loved it as it was marinated in herbs and garlic. I tied it and loved it too. Very tender.
As it was our first visit we were offered a free surprise dessert. Baklava, I’d never had it before but it was great.
The wait staff are extremely nice and their house water has lemons and limes in it which is a nice touch.
The ambiance is way more upscale and nicer than its competitors. Next time we will try the regular dishes.

We were on our way to see The Danish Girl and needed a quick bite coming from Old Greenwich. We went to Athens for the first time in a long time. We are on the other side of Greenwich now. The choices of pizzas was huge and tantalizing. We settled on one with olives, tomatoes, multiple cheeses, and more. It was delicious and we took a lot home. Had another dinner and a lunch. Delicious. Friendly staff.

Best Greek, BEST Saganaki, FRESH Tzatziki to die for ! A must try ! Parking lot is small but you can park in the Stop n shop plaza! George the owner is so nice and will make whatever your in the mood for. Italian menu as well.

I like Athens Pizza and have been going there for over 20 years! Excellent Greek salad and pizza, I have always had very good food. Service may be ok, but the owners are nice and the food is quality! I would recommend Athens Pizza to anyone.

We took out from there last night. We ordered 2 pita sandwiches, one salad & an appetizer. Of the 4 items, 2 were wrong. We went back when we realized the salad was wrong & they gave us the right one. We neglected to check the sandwiches & realized we had 1 wrong. It was too much to go back again. The spanakopita app was great, as were the salads. The falafel was pasty, mushy and in general not great. If you like falafel, don’t get it here! 3 stars is for the good food. Getting the order right and the falafel deserves no stars!

The food is wonderful. Mario made our family experience memorable. He gave recommendations which we were all happy with. Try the tomato Greek salad and the grape leaves filled with rice. Wine was delicious. Cappuccino was the best I ever had. Yeah, and it’s a Greek place! Thank you Mario!

Quiet, right in the corner this small Mediterranean restaurant offers delicious health options, my favorite is the soup and the salads, servers are most man and very educated, recommended.

Food is excellent! Service is awful! I’ve been to the restaurant many times because the food is so good. But every time I go the service is horrible. The waitress/​waiters never ask if you’d like another drink, forget to bring you extras requested eg bread, napkins, another water or wine. For the price, they need to be the full package.

I believe employees prank called my phone 6 times after a friend and I picked up food. Going to the police about it.

After a weary day of travel we stopped here for dinner, not expecting a whole lot. The exterior was neat as a pin but it is at a nondescript intersection with two grocery stores nearby. The interior was compact, neat and clean. We were seated right away in a comfortable booth. The salads (greek salads) were amazing – I can’t believe the size of the slice of feta included on the salad, along with delicious marinated anchovies (not mushy or overly salty). We shared a small pizza – the quatro something or other (four different quadrants of toppings on the same pizza). It was just OK – no complaints, but not special. The crust could have been crispier or more robust considering the amount of toppings I guess. Service was friendly, professional and polite. The capuccino was gigantic and lovely. Once tables started to fill up a little it was difficult to get the waiter’s attention so we could pay and go, but that’s a small affair. Well priced for the quality of food and service.

I gotta admit the food tasted better than I expected. Me being from Brooklyn and exposed to great Greek food at Plaka and a few other spots in Astoria, came ready to be let down due to my high standards. I’ve tried other places and get let down on the regular. I don’t like Connecticut but since I have to work there I’m glad I found this little spot. Very nice inside, attentive waiter and quiet atmosphere…
I ordered a chicken and pork souvlaki platter that was pretty damn good. I will definitely be back at this place for more

Don’t see how anyone could not like this place. Delicious! Varied menu with lots of vegetarian and meat options. Excellent service. Right off the main highway. We stopped here on way to NY. Freshly made food. My son had a pizza and my mom and I shared the lorabella salad and spanikopita. Yum!

I am staying at the Hyatt Regency and there was literally nothing I could eat there since I am vegan. The hostess at the Hyatt recommended Athens to me as it is walking distance. Vegans all know that there is going to be something you will be able to eat at a Greek restaurant. I had the usual vegan fare… hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, and dolmades. And as this fare goes, it was excellent. The wait person was very helpful and I had wonder glass of Greek red wine to top it off. They were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Since I have to come back to this hotel 4X a year, I will come back. A great vegan experience.

YUMMMM this place was really good. The hummus was delicious and good prices! My family all went home with leftovers.

Had a nice plate of veal sorrentino the other night with side of angel hair pasta. Could really taste the butter. I like the side salad too. Service was fine because i was one of three customers on an early weds evening. Pizza has always been good and the small eggplant pizza did not disappoint. A nice little place to go.

great food and friendly atmosphere. I thought the food portions were a very good size and everything was up to par. if you enjoy Greek I highly recommend it.

Great food at a great price in a great neighborhood.

This review is actually from a few years ago circa 2009. I just found the restaurant and had such a great experience I had to still share.
My girlfriend (now wife) and I were heading back home from a week vacation in Pennsylvania. After a dreadful experience at City Limit’s Dinner my poor gf suffering from a badly sprained ankle was STARVING and we were just looking for anyplace to eat.
We stumbled upon Athens, and she didn’t care what she just wanted to eat. When we sat down we looked at the menus, at the time they had a chicken parmigiana which I got with spaghetti. My gf couldn’t decide between Linguini Primavera and Penne vodka.
When our food arrived I dove into my spaghetti I was so hungry, my partner took a double take when a plate of Penne Vodka was served to her. The server asked if everything was alright and she responded with yes, I just forgot what I ordered.
After eating for four to five minutes our server alerted us that we were given the wrong order and my gf actually did order the Linguini Primavera and offered to serve the order that was prepared for her. We passed as she was already well into the penne al la vodka she was served.
It was an honest mistake and a tasty one at that because her dish was almost, almost better than mine.
I’m sad to see the reviews so low as of late I do hope they get their act back together so that my wife and kids can go back in a year or so and have a great meal while driving to whatever vacation destination we are off to this time.

Excellent food and service.
Went on Sunday at noon when they just opened so we had the place to ourselves. Ordered Suvlaki platters, they came with excellent Greek salads and we got Greek potato salad with the platter. The meat was perfectly done and everything had superb flavor, subtle and nothing overpowered but extremely tasty. Also ordered some lemon chicken soup and it was perfect also.
Highly recommend and would go again!

I ordered a chicken souvlaki tonite & found some blackened scraps from someone else’s meal.
Brought that to the owner/chef’s attention, who claimed they were ‘herbs’, which looked like $h!+ if you ask me.
So if this is what you’d like to eat, then definitely come here.
