I must admit that I never tried the pizza here under the previous owners and can’t attest to their food or practices, but I can for the new ownership. My wife had been stuck in the hospital for sometime and we quickly grew tired of the hospital fare so I happened to find this gem of a pizza shop by driving by. Ordered a large half pepperoni and speciality pizza and it was simply covered in fresh toppings in a classical New York fold over style slice. I also ordered wings and they came out cooked(no breading bs) and sauced to perfection at a price that was good. They had a large assortment of drinks to be had in a wall of coolers and the restaurant showed some signs of remodeling being started. What once might have been considered a dive looks now to possibly to become a diamond in its own right.

Walked here for lunch. Huge menu on the wall in back. Was told to order at the front of the store. Asked for wings and was told they only have pizza. Was advised to order 2 slices of pizza and a drink for four dollars and change. The pizza was«meh.» I don’t think I will be returning.

Horrible phone etiquette. Called and asked to place a take out order and woman answered the phone very rudely and replies«what do you want»… Not your pizza.

On 7−6−15 me n my friend were on Central Ave and decided to check this place out. I entered the store first, and as my friend tried to enter she got stopped by a panhandler who asked her for money. At this point i was approaching the counter and my friend was holding the door open n trying to get rid of the panhandler. The clerk behind the counter started screaming at us saying if we needed to chat(she was referring to my friend and the panhandler) then we should do it outside and that we needed to shut her«damn» door. Way to go with the customer service Milanos… we walked right out n i. assure u we will never be back! Being i live downtown and eat out often they lost many years of my potential business. After reading reviews of this place its apparant that the food is sub-par to say the least and many more complaints of poor customer service!

Walked in for a cup of coffee to go, $ 1.59 for a pretty good size cup is less than Starbucks. Convenience store by front door where friendly cashier is, rear is a small diner with a few tables in front of kitchen. Right by several eclectic little shops and eateries along Central. Sidewalk sign out front advertises two buck breakfast special, may try that next time. Also serve lunch menu such as pizza and sandwiches.

Great location, with lots of potential! Located almost directly across the street from The State Theatre, and next to a bar with live music, it gets its fair share of a variety of clientele. But, if the sign hadn’t said«Deli» and«Pizza» we wouldn’t have checked it out. It looks like a convenience store. And, well, it pretty much is. There’s a cash register at the front with coffee, newspapers, lotto tickets, cigarettes, etc. and then coolers with beverages and shelves with chips and snacks. The back part is the deli/restaurant with a LARGE menu. My friend and I ordered potato skins and a slice of pizza. The potato skins were the real deal. Like, they started with two whole potatoes and 20 minutes later came the most delicious skins. My friend said the pizza was good, too. And another customer had a sandwich that looked pretty pro. And they used gloves! yay! The place is not a 5 star restaurant, so don’t expect it. But if you leave a concert and want some grub, it works just fine. I did need to use the restroom while there, which is behind the kitchen in a backroom. The door doesn’t really shut all the way, and it’s a scary sort of restroom probably not designed for customer use. And there were ants. But I’ll take ants over roaches any day!

On Central Avenue, near Kool Daddy Records and close to all the vintage shopping you can imagine. I was told about this place, and didn’t realize it was a convenience store in the front and the restaraunt in the back. First thing I noticed was it didn’t look so clean, second I noticed was how friendly the two men were. I ordered a hamburger which comes with fries for $ 4.99. They have a tiny area to dine on the stools and one table. The guy who fixed my sandwich wasn’t wearing any gloves and I hoped he had washed his hands silently. Later, when I went to pay the same guy was working the register and I was pretty sure I hadn’t seen him wash his hands. After paying for my food I went down the street to eat outside and found mold on the sandwich bread. Too bad I had already taken a bite before noticing it, so far it seemed to have been a tasty burger but it bothered me if he had washed his hands or not and who wants to eat moldy bread? The fries seemed too crispy and fried, but I didn’t get that far yet. I went back to the store and told the guy who fixed my sandwich, he politely insisted I go to the back of the store where the other worker was, although I was very calm and discreet when explaining why I wanted a refund. I showed him the mold and returned my other items as well, he was very polite and apologized. I was issued a refund on my card, to which he provided the receipt. Unfortunately, I will not return because it’s uncomfortable to have to question if your food is fresh and if hands are clean. This place has been around for quite some time, I think it said 20 years on the menu. I would suggest updating the interior of the store and making sure that it looks really clean, and providing more seats. The downtown area caters to an eclectic group of people, but they will do well by taking advantage of such a central location and all the new residents moving into the contempororary/modern apartment buildings around. I really hope they update it for a sleek modern or artsy look and tackle the attentiveness to cleanliness, along with getting their menus out and advertising the convenience store deliveries so they can be even more successful. They should also have a website online somewhere. Pros: Friendly Service Grocery items in the store can be delivered if you live in the area The food might be good The area has an eclectic, artsy, vintage bohemian vibe Reasonable prices Cons: Not sure how clean and sanitary this place is, my instinct didn’t want to trust it Dining in is available if you just want to eat your food quickly and go, not really for hangin out it could get crowded easily
