Used a Groupon here and was well worth it. Got a massage for $ 39. I will be coming back.

Much better waiting room experience here this time! Was offered herbal tea, coffee, or water, pleasant spa-​like music playing softly in background. Relaxing. (No one yammering away on cellphone) and everyone was showed-​or escorted where they needed to go… my massage therapist was amazing! Angeline. I was sore from my new workout routines (darn you, resolutions!) She worked out all the kinks. A very nice experience! Only complaint is that my appointment was for 11:45, and I was not seen until 12:00. But everything else was relaxing and pleasant.

Loved my mani pedi with Glynis, she was incredible and really took her time to make sure everything looked great. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very helpful and nice. My only complaint would be my bikini wax. The technician was really nice but the waxing wasn’t great. A lot was missed and my skin was really irritated after. I’ve gotten a quite a few waxes before and have never had this happen. Definitely will be going back for nails, but not for waxing!

So, yes it’s been 9mo since my last visit, didn’t keep up with my quarterly goal. Today, I had Dana, she was great! Absolutely enjoyed my massage!

I had an hour massage a few weeks ago here through a Groupon I purchased. My massage was with Joel. The whole experience felt rushed and after my massage I was not even walked up front as one usually would be after a massage. I had to get cash from up front before I could leave gratuity, but honestly that made me not want to (I still did). I think this may be one of those places that offers Groupons but would be happier if people didn’t purchase them.
The whole atmosphere felt a little «stuck up» for me and i probably won’t return to this location. May try another as I have heard good things about Nicole in Chesterfield.

About 6 years ago I started laser hair removal services… I was sold a package of 6 (from them, not a groupon deal) and it was quite pricey… but I was told you need about 5 – 7 treatments and maybe cleaning once in a while… Like after a pregnancy or a hormonal change… well 6 years later and 14 treatments… I still need to shave in certain spots… everyone I went and complained about the problem areas, I still felt like I would have to tell the technician to go over certain parts that she would miss. A cleaning is $ 75, just about 30% less then the actual treatment… way too expensive… you’d think that after paying all that money, I would be hair free… such a rip off

I get massages at least twice a month due to lower back problems. I use groupon a lot to fill this need and I bought one for a 60 minute massage at The Face & The Body Day Spa. My therapist was a man. Before we started I told him that I need a relaxing swedish style with medium pressure on the upper torso and light pressure on the legs and feet and nothing deep. During the massage I had to stop him 3 times due to the pain he was inflicting on my back and on my legs. At one point I was ready to just tell him to stop and end the massage. I have encountered therapists like this before, they don;t know how to alter their method to the clients needs and think what they are doing is better for the customer than what they requested. I will now spend 2 days on a heating pad before I can go to someone qualified to fix me.

Rip off spent $ 265.00 on hair cut full foil and products. That’s with a groupon. Oh well they lost me Asa customer

My wife and I visited for a couples massage. Actually these were offered complimentary due to some problems for a gift I had purchased online that never arrived. Appears this may have been the post office failure but in any case, they followed up and offered free services due to the problems we experienced. My wife had Tiffany and I had Whitney. The spa in general is pleasing and the massages were top notch. We scheduled repeat service.

Amazing massage by Tiffany. My husband & I did the couples massage and walked out feeling amazing and refreshed. They talk to you after the massage about area they found that might’ve been causing you problems. I’m pretty sure I even fell asleep, I was so relaxed. Even booked another massage in 4 weeks!

I want to like this place, but I just don’t. I’ve been to The Face and the Body on several occasions, and each time, I have such high expectations and am typically disappointed. Not that the services are bad, per se, just that for the price, they are sorely lacking. For example, I recently booked four services in one day — one of the spa packages. Booking the appointment was difficult. After being placed on hold for 5 minutes, the first girl I spoke with explained that she would have to «research» my requested day/​services to see if she had enough openings and would call me back to confirm. Fair enough. However, when two days passed without a return call, I called back and spoke to someone who booked my appointment on the spot. Second, when I arrived for my massage (by FAR the highlight of my day!), I was greeted by the masseuse and my day was off to a glowing start. The massage was wonderful and off I went to my facial. The facial. It was so bland, I can’t even… Let me just say, the facial was fine. The esthetician was incredibly nice and pleasant, but the facial itself was boring and didn’t leave my skin in any better condition than it was in when I arrived for the day, possibly worse. Finally, my mani/​pedi. OMG. My manicurist has been doing nails for a long time. And she is very popular with her regulars. And in fact, she was a joy to talk to (when she wasn’t harping on me about my nails and color choices-​more on this later). But within a day, within the SAME day, the polish was chipping, and my nail beds were completely uneven. It was one of the worst manicures I’ve ever received. The pedicure was fairly luxurious — but again, the polish is lacking in quality. Then the manicurist commented (several times) how my nails were entirely too short. She said this like I should be ashamed? I can assure any readers of this review that my nails are of normal length — far from super short. Finally, upon leaving I was once again annoyed that one can not leave gratuity alone on a credit card — you have to buy a product or have some other charge on your card — but luckily, having been here several times, I was prepared with cash. Based on the spa package I booked, I was entitled to a complimentary bottle of lotion, which I did not receive (and did not feel comfortable asking for). So in summary: great massage, bland facial (so disappointing!), horrible manicure and decent pedicure — followed by dismal customer service, as dictated by the price point. In the past, I’ve always felt similarly mixed upon leaving The Face and the Body, regardless of the service I’ve received — so I felt it was finally time to publish my lengthy thoughts on the matter!

Best facial I have ever gotten! And I have worked in the salon industry! Amanda is amazing! I even used a group this visit and had no problem at all! Bought product, joined a membership and re booked!

My sister and I did the Spa Oasis package to celebrate her birthday. She lives in Chicago, and I’m always hoping to take her places that show off St. Louis’s best. This place was perfect!
EVERYONE was wonderful! It was very clean and not too pretentious. Overall, we were extremely satisfied.

I am going to give a two part review. One for the spa process and one for the massage therapist I see.
Five stars for Joel who is a massage therapist. I followed him here from another massage place in town. I have been getting massages for 20 years and he is easily the best I have ever seen. He is very easy to talk with and he does what needs to be done. He can do light pressure to heavier pressure depending on what you need or want. I find his massages last longer because he gets into the spots that need it etc. I also like the fact that he talks when i want to talk and if i feel like spacing out he stays quiet. Not all massage therapists do that. I enjoy seeing him and he also has a great sense of humor.
Three stars for the Face and the Body Day Spa — This is a very convenient location in Brentwood for me. They are a bit pricey but worth it to see Joel. The main thing that gripes me is you cannot get an hour and half massage. You either get an hour or two hours. You also have to pay cash or write a check for gratuity. If you want to use a debit card you have to buy something. Their processes leave a little to be desired.

A massage is a big treat for me. This is my second time with Joel and it was really worth it. I will continue to go to him.
Besides giving a great deep tissue massage, Joel really works with problem areas to help me get back in line with how my body should work. Very smart and very helpful. I would strongly suggest him for anyone who is athletic or feels out do whack.

If you are thinking of buying a Groupon for either a facial or a massage, then this place is a rip-​off. They provide a discriminated service for the Groupon holders (which they do not disclose on Groupon’s website). The facial service is a shortened one using low quality products. The massage service is also of a lower quality. One does not get to chose the type of massage as is the case with their usual service. I also felt that they discriminate the Groupon holders during booking.

Disclaimer: this review centers mostly around my experience using a Groupon at the spa. I have had some really great facials, but the customer experience is lacking.
I have been to this spa multiple times and have always had a pleasant experience. However, I don’t know if I will be going back. For my last visit, I was gifted a Groupon from a family member that expired in two weeks. Scheduling was difficult, and multiple times I called and was told that they had «met their Groupon quota» for the day – apparently each service provider can only take two Groupon clients per day (at least, that’s what the receptionist told me.)? I understand being booked, but it was incredibly frustrating when the receptionist would confirm that they had appointments available, but that I couldn’t have one. I continued to run into scheduling difficulties (once again, not because appointments weren’t available, but because they «met their Groupon quotas»), until I was desperate to get in before it expired. When I asked the receptionist if I would be able to redeem it for the promotional value the day after it expired since they were at capacity for Groupons, I was told that I could not, and reminded that I have had an entire year to use it. After I explained the scheduling difficulties and the gift situation, I was basically told that I was SOL. I ended up having to schedule my appointment for my three hour break between school and work on a Monday, which was not particularly relaxing.
I understand that a Groupon provides a service at a discount, but it also serves as an introduction to a potential client. I was planning on purchasing the membership in the fall, but don’t want to feel like a second class citizen because I had the savvy to buy a Groupon. The Groupon specifies that it is only available with certain service providers, but does not inform you that those providers have a limit on how many Groupon services they can do per day.
Moral of the story: great spa, but make sure that you schedule your appointment way in advance if you have a Groupon.

Used a groupon here for a facial. They usually come out with a group on for a massage or facial twice a year and it’s totally worth it. The spa is usually a bit pricey.
They offer hot tea, water and even red wine for while you wait in their relaxing waiting area. The area is a bit small but has a cute fire place and is very quiet.
My facial was great and I have a nice healthy glow I hope will last a while! They offer a range of spa services including hair services, nails, body treatments, and waxings.
I’ve been here before but this was the first visit I was really pushed on some of their other services. I felt like they were working a bit too hard to sell me product/​future services than I’m used to. I still had a great experience and will certainly use their groupon again.
They also have day long spa excursions or half day services and these make for great gifts.

I’ve been going to F&B Day Spa in Brentwood for years for pedicures. I really like the nail staff and feel I get a good value for the money — and that’s when I pay full price. Periodically, the spa offers Groupons so I“ve been able to score some discounted services over the past few years.
Nails – yes.
Massages — the quality vascillates between fair-​to-​middlin’ and disappointing. Never great or awesome. It seems to be somewhat of a training ground, things don’t quite run on time, staff can be a little awkward.
After a handful of tries, I’ve decided to stick with massages found elsewhere.
But, I’m still a pedicure loyalist.

Lucky me! I received a gift certificate for the spa 2 days before it expired so I had to schedule an appointment quickly! I called on a Wednesday and made an appointment for that Friday! I was surprised they had an opening on such short notice.
When I arrived I was greeted and offered a drink. I was then brought back to the waiting room before my first scheduled appointment for an eyebrow shaping. The person I was scheduled with came out almost immediately and was very friendly. She brought me back to the room and asked me to sign off on the waxing form. I then was instructed to lie down and get comfy before she began. The entire time she was talking with me and being very personable. I really enjoyed that part. When she was finished we discussed facials and I really am going to schedule 1 with her for my 30^th birthday next month!
She brought me back up to the front and traded me off to the lady who was going to work on my nails-​I was also getting a manicure. This part was relaxing and I enjoyed the hand massage! I picked out the perfect holiday color and my nails were taken care of. My cuticles and nails look and feel great.
I think this place was pretty great for these 2 services, and I will go back again to try out others when I can.
