Donor Kebob was amazing, add feta! Fries were in, hubby said they changed them and was sad they did!

So good. My husband works in Soulard and someone from work told him how good the food was there and it certainly was! I’ve only had the gyro and I love it. I think next time I want to try somethings else. Today we drove 20 minutes from our house today even though there are 2 places closer that have gyros.

Well I had the«Döner Kebab», I am not impressed with this sandwich at all. Gyro meat, was dry to me, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce on a freshly baked bun all good! The sandwich was pretty tasty, but not loaded with a lots of meat. Just skimpy on the meat to me. I believe, I had these else where and they were much more meatier, however, I love that tzatziki sauce they put on the sandwich, the lettuce was fresh and good, but I could hardly taste the meat with so much other stuff on there, you got to stack more meat on that sandwich. This is a small place with like four tables that seat four people each. So if you get in at a rush time, you may have to take your order to go. There was a hair on my fork when he brought the food out to me, and I thought this should have been addressed before he brought my food to me, I do appreciate him picking the hair off my fork right in front of me at the table, but would have been nice to just get a new fork, after all they are disposable plastic forks. That just kinda reminded me of an old dirty diner where the cook picks his nose then handles your food. Moreover, while I am thinking of the meat, in my opinion when i did get to taste some meat, as I pulled some out to try by itself, it was very salty to me. If I went back and I am not opposed to visiting there again, i would not order this sandwich, just not worth it to me. I would order something else.

You can never go wrong with a gyro! When you consider the value(almost never over $ 8 anywhere), the size, and the flavor, this Greek lamb/beef pita sandwich is always a winner. I didn’t use to care for this place, but it is much better now! The falafel is good too!

This is a little hole-in-the-wall gyro place and it is seriously AWESOME! We had a party of four and stopped by for a quick bite. I ordered the hummus & olive gyro, and the other 3 peeps with me ordered gyros. We also ordered 2 sides of fries to share. The gyros came out, and they were a thing of incredible beauty. Overflowing with the appropriate veggies and tender meat and with the perfect amount of tzatziki sauce. Mmmm delicious! The fries were also tasty, not too crispy and not too raw — perfectly prepared. The man working behind the counter was super nice and had a great sense of humor. I asked him what the topping«giardiniera» was(it was mentioned on their menu) and he explained that it was an olive salad of sorts with pickled veggies in it, and gave me a sample of it to try. ‘Twas super tasty! I didn’t add it to my sandwich… but he brought out a small side of it for me anyway with my meal(free of charge!) because he’s just that nice of a guy. Heck yeah!

This place had some of the best gyros I’ve ever had. Huge portions and really a good value. Definitely add the feta! The doner kebab was also an interesting take on a gyro more like a torta-gyro hybrid that was delicious and so filling I had to take half home. If I’m ever back in the area would go back for more

Tastiest meal we’ve had in a while! The meat was delicious and the pita soft and warm. Our order got mixed up with someone else’s but he made it right, bringing out extra gyros. We will be visiting again!

I placed my order online and was delighted that when I arrived it was actually ready. My gyro was delicious and I loved that I had an option to dine in or eat outside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And most importantly, the establishment was clean. I will DEFINITELY be going back.

The fries were crispy, the gyros were graciously stuffed, and the prices were ideal. I spent 10 dollars and received some of the best fries and the tastiest chicken gyro stuffed to the brim with fresh ingredients!

After walking past the shop for the last three years, we decided to try some dinner here and got the regular gyro and the falafel. It was good, but I wouldn’t categorize it as great. Maybe my expectations were a bit high for this place especially when the word gyro is in the title.

4.5 stars. This is a hole in the wall deli. It serves gyros. I went to this deli. I got a gyro. It was good. Gyro meat, feta cheese, kalamata olives, and hummus in pita bread. What more could you want on a gyro? Other than peanut butter of course. Every single thing I ordered off the menu was delicious. Well except for the fries. They weren’t that great. Ok so half of the things I ordered were good. And I’m assuming that the rest of their main items are equally delicious. Basically what I’m saying is my overall opinion of the place was good. Oh yes! The fries weren’t very spectacular Until I dipped them in Sriracha sauce. If you’ve never tried fries with Sriracha sauce you’re missing something.

Caught this place for a late lunch and so no wait time. Had the regular gyro and it was packed with Greek goodness! They stuff their gyros full of fresh ingredients. It tasted great and would highly recommend this for a lunch establishment.

Delicious and friendly and worth your money and time! I went for your classic gyro and it was just what you want in a gyro — lots of sauce and feta

I go here for lunch quite often. They used to be cash only with an atm but now they have square and accept cards. I traveled to Greece about 10 years ago and had some of the worlds best gyros. When I got home I realized that we are severely lacking in the gyro department, this place is the exception to that. The food is phenomenal and the people are usually pretty friendly. For ~10 $ you can get enough food to fill up to the point where you kinda hate yourself and love yourself at the same time.

I enjoy Soulard Gyro & Deli each time I go. I’ll admit, I do go often since it’s in my neighborhood and I can’t turn down a good Chicken Gyro. When I arrive the guy(s) at the counter take my order quickly and have it ready in a snap. They are fast at what they do and always make is taste delicious(I order mine with extra feta). They just started offering fries so I would recommend ordering a side of fries with your gyro-they are good! The only reason I am taking a star away is because the place itself isn’t very updated or anything fancy. There are old tables and chairs inside and things just look outdated-maybe they’ll update one day, but until then… I’ll still go and order my Gyro and enjoy it!

Waahhhhhhh GYROs rock! For real though. I’m a huge gyro fan and just stopped by here for the first time. Like every other review says, cash only. They have an ATM that charges you like $ 3 to use which is better than nothing I suppose. With the use of «Square» I wish these«cash only» shops would finally convert. I was in a pinch so I used the ATM but I rarely carry any cash on me and hate ATM fees. I went with the plain-olé Gyro and fries all for about $ 8. The GYRO was packed with plenty of meat and other toppings. It was amazing! The fries were good, too. They were crispy and thick and perfect. I’m craving another Gyro already and look forward to trying them out again!

This. is. not. a. deli. You cannot run a «deli» on just chicken and gyro meat. I have to go in the middle because as much as I was fine with my gyro and thought it was quite good(the meat was a little on the dry side), the BF ordered a chicken philly and was highly disappointed. I tried it and agreed that it didn’t have good flavor so it seems like they’re only good for gyros. They shouldn’t be called a «deli» if they can’t please others with the deli aspect. Sorry, but IMHO, it was sadly just«okay».

There goes my gyro! What don’t you have, Soulard? If you’re looking for a nice gyro and, like me, you’re living on The Island, you don’t have to go very far. Soulard Gyro & Deli has you covered. Saturday afternoons tend to be free, so I like to wander. I wanted to have something in the deli realm, but I didn’t feel like making my usual trek to Blues City Deli. I pulled up Unilocal on my phone, and this joint was on top of the list! Fortunately, I looked at its page for a few minutes because one essential thing to know is that Soulard Gyro only accepts cash. It does have a ATM in store, but I just went to my bank and avoided paying any fees. The menu is pretty simple. They do offer some other deli options, but Greek is the way to go. The gyro isn’t too expensive. The basic form runs $ 5.99. Upgrades to feta cheese or a bun can add fifty cents to a dollar. They do serve some vegetarian options, too. I made my order, The Gyro Supreme, and my order was ready within moments. This gyro was bursting with meat! However, if you still want more, you can pay an extra $ 1.50 for MORE gyro meat. Somehow I managed to stay clean during my meal, but the gyro is dripping in traditional Tzatziki sauce. Altogether, I was a happy man. Looking for a nice gyro? Take a trip to Soulard Gyro & Deli. Bring your Benjamins!
