Varozza Vineyards

I met Jack and Dianna Varozza at the St. Helena Harvest festival in 2006. My sister and I were wine tasting at the festival. I’ve been visiting the Varozza’s Vineyard ever since and always recommend people and friends to visit. They make a lovely Petite Sirah and Cabernet. You will need to call to make an appointment to make sure that someone is there to meet you. It’s all worth it. Very nice family that has a lot of passion making wine and keeping the family name going.

Small family owned winery — great get away from the commercial wineries. Made a reservation easily via e-​mail to Dianna.
Our group got to taste the 2000, 2008 cabs and 2008 petite sirah, and glass to go for our tour around the place. We got to see the different cab grapes and even try some.
Dianna is very informative and knowledgable about the whole process. We loved the tour and would recommend to everyone!

Great down home feel to this tour. Dianne can answer any question, comfortable atmosphere. Free tour you will feel like you need a bottle of wine to take with you.

Varozza Vineyards is owned by Jack and Dianna Varozza. A couple that took over Jack’s father’s winery. The couple is absolutely amazing and nice. They also have a dog named Lucy! She is adorable too.
We were able to come here on a private tour that my friend’s father landed. I’m not quite sure how but I’m glad he did it. We were able to try the two wines that they had bottled: 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon & 2003 Petite Sirah. They both were exceptional but I enjoyed the cab a bit more. At $ 45 and $ 35 a bottle (respectively), it’s quite pricey but that’s what you pay for good wine from a smaller winery.
The experience of a smaller winery is amazing and you definitely cannot get it at a big commercilized winery like Artesa, Sterling, Beringer, Mondavi, etc. I love mom & pop places and Varozza is definitely a place to stop at when in Napa Valley. Give them a call and I’m sure that Jack & Dianna will be very accommodating. Loooove it!
