American Music Institute is a non-​profit music school org located in Clarendon Hills and St Charles, IL with a mission to provide the highest level music education in all instruments, levels, ages, and styles of music. AMI Faculty is of the highest pre-​collegiate faculties in the Chicago-​land area.

Music Lessons in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, electric guitar & bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, trombone, horn, percussion, drums, and more. Styles… Classical, Traditional & Suzuki, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Folk, World, and more. Students come from… Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Western Springs, LaGrange, Oak Brook, Westmont, Downers Grove, Darien, Elmhurst, Naperville, Bollingbrook, etc.

History

Established in 2006.

AMI was founded in 2006 on the principles of serving the community by providing the highest standards in music education. One of the main driving forces behind AMI’s mission is to create a healthier and more holistic community.

Meet the Business Owner

Remus B.

Business Owner

Remus Badea — violinist /​college professor /​executive director.

Mr. Badea grew up in Chicago and has performed regularly with many different area orchestras as a member, concertmaster, chamber musician, and solo performer. He received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Cincinnati-​College Conservatory of Music (CCM) in violin performance while studying with world-​renowned teacher Dorothy Delay, amongst other notable teachers.

Mr. Badea has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, Bard Music Festival, and CCM Music Festival. He has won numerous awards and currently is concertmaster of the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, teaches at Elmhurst College, and is the founder and Executive Director of American Music Institute.
