Haszard’s at the Beach

We came here because Unilocal reviews mentioned they had the best crab cakes. They were right! Moist, big and perfectly seared.
Our waiter Race was enthusiastic and proud of all their offerings, explaining and recommending menu. I got the Cuban sandwich… everything a Cuban should be. Too often they come dry, this one was juicy and delicious. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich, he was delighted w his meal as well.
All in all, a really great place with delicious food and friendly, on the ball service. We couldn’t have picked better! We will definitely be back!

Mixed review as the service was friendly and some items very good and some not good at all. Lunch time and the place was mostly full by two large parties. Our party of four waited for a table to be cleaned and since they were short on help it took a bit of time. We placed our orders and then were asked about beverages. My pit beef and pork loin were sliced very tender meat with so so French fries and an interesting fried romaine lettuce wedge which was tasty. The meat was just two piles on the plate and difficult to sauce or cut as they resembled deli meat piled for a sandwich. The crab soup was mediocre Maryland style. The hamburger was good on a roll with the normal lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. The 2 bone rib appetizer was awful…2 large spare ribs that were mostly fat and definitely not hot and fresh. The pork BBQ sandwich was pretty good with plenty of meat though it was again not hot and fresh tasting. The chocolate cake with cream cheese icing was excellent but they only had one piece left as they actually make it in house. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items but they need some work and attention to detail to bring this place up to its potential.

Great restaurant, remembrance of home, items and picture of OC, blue crabs, Baltimore and more… great Redskins friendly environment, who serve Half smokes, pit beef, and philly cheese steaks. Friendly staff and the owner is always available interacting with customers. GREAT atmosphere for a restaurant

Driving home from vacation and decided to stop and eat. Saw this place and decided to try it. Pretty small place, you sit where you want to and they were showing a NFL game on the TV. Food was delicious. Hushpuppy appetizer had plenty pieces. Cuban Sandwich was very very good. Customer service was excellent; very attentive.

Absolutely agree with previous reviews. Driving home to Georgia from our Florida vacation, decided to take the «A1A detour» and just see whatever came our way. So glad this place was on that happenstance list!
Amazing crab cakes. Very friendly and genuine waitstaff. Decent prices. A+++.

My fish sandwich had a nice portion of fish and it was delicious! My wife had the buffalo sandwich and took home leftovers. The server was very attentive. Will definitely stop there again.

Food was alright. Overpriced for amount of food. I ordered the potato wedges and there were 4 on my plate. The cole slaw was homemade but very bland and was served in a small condiment cup.
The waitress knew her job and the menu very well. Bathroom was very clean.

We were tired and hungry when we happened on this restaurant. We will return with anticipation! I had the grilled romaine and 1 crab cake. Absolutely the best meal since we got to Florida. My husband had a Cuban. Really delicious. The service was perfect. Keep up the good work!

When you are there, ask for Sunshine. She is one of the best servers on the beach!!! We are always greeted with a smile and our diet cokes!!!

Very nice atmosphere. Great food & service. Almost drove right past it because it is a small place off a busy road. I would highly recommend it.

Cold beer and awesome crab cakes. Very friendly owners work in the restaurant. Service is fantastic. No craft beers. But, the ones they have are cold. I would go back in a sec.

Went for lunch. Vegetarian options include potato soup, salad, and sides. No protein options that were animal free. Broccoli was crisp and green (al dente). Nothing added which was nice. Onion rings we’re fresh and crisp and not greasy. My partner enjoyed grilled Romaine with Ceaser dressing, clam chowder and crab cake. The chowder and crab cakes excellent. Only reason 4 stars is the limited vegetarian menu and American Express not accepted.

Family owned and operated. Delicious food, real crab cakes and everything on the menu is excellent! Fun little place, they have live music some nights! We love this place and have been here several times

Started with corn nuggets and they were good. Got a side salad with blue cheese, and the dressing was fresh.
I got the crab cake entrée with fries and slaw. The crab cake was very good, meaty, and flavorful. Not too much breading. Very good with remoulade sauce. The french fries were homemade and very good.
My wife got a hotdog with kraut and onions. She also got onion rings which were very good.
All in all a great visit and definitely will return.

Fabulous food! Owners are super nice. BBQ sauces were amazing. Maryland crab cakes were phenomenal!!! Soup was delicious! Cannot say enough good things about this place! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Great food every time I’ve been here. Really great people work here. Very clean place.

Everything was perfect! Beef, pork and sausage might not be the first things that come to mind at a beach restaurant, but get them — they were all cooked to perfection! Roast beef was sliced thin and easy to chew. The «half smoke» beef-​pork sausage rocked. Original flavors from the side dishes (you must try the corn nuggets) to the sauces. Even the «grilled romaine» salad was unique and fantastic. The service could not have been better, and the place is remarkably clean, especially being across the street from the beach. The many tributes to Maryland are also very cool.

Just stumbled on this place and couldn’t be happier. Not your run of the mill bbq spot! The highlights were the crab soup and the grilled romaine. Everyone in our party liked everything else too. The owner really knows how to make customers feel like welcome guests. We will be back — often!

Everything about this restaurant is excellent! It is small, but very cute and very clean. The crab cakes are just amazing and come with a great remoulade sauce and some amazing hush puppies and homemade cole slaw. The half smokes, half beef and half pork, sausages are really as well. The pulled pork sandwich is really good as well. If the rest of the food is as good as the things I have tried, you can not go wrong with anything.
The owners are really nice and the waitress I have had is wonderful. Local Redskins fans meet here to watch the games.
