We specialize in Landscape Design and Consultation services for California native-​based landscapes. Consultation can include: customized plant lists, maintenance recommendations, gardener training, project management and more.

We also grow and sell CA native and other climate-​adapted plants through special order and public events. We do not maintain a retail nursery at this time. Site delivery is available.

We also provide specialty garden service, specializing in caring for your CA native and other climate-​adapted plants, not «mow and blow.»

History

Established in 2005.

The owner, Peyton Ellas, founded the business in Tulare County in 2005, after working for many years in Southern California.

Meet the Business Owner

Peyton E.

Business Owner

Peyton Ellas is a landscape designer, writer, speaker and farmer. She has childhood roots both in Springville and in Southern California. She graduated from UCLA’s film school, worked in the film business for ten years, ran a successful photography business (Peyton Ellas Phtography) and worked as a gardener, before moving to Springville in 2003. She opened Quercus Landscape Design in 2005, and in 2008, Peyton founded Auntie’s Home Grown Farm, a small sustainable farm based in Springville. She is a vegan, animal and plant lover and is a U.C.C.E. certified Master Gardener. Her smooth-​coated collie, Sekey, frequently travels to job sites with her, when appropriate. She is currently working on a book about California native plants, and writes a weekly gardening column for the Porterville Recorder newspaper.
