Older hotel. They serve free food and beer/​wine at dinnertime. Breakfast was the typical hampton breakfast. I was surprised to see blueberries and strawberries. Bathroom could have been cleaner but room was still OK. Across from Hilton and mall.

Simlple hotel. Nice and clean not allot of stuff but clean room and bathroom. Would have given 4 but air conditioner was very noisy and hard to sleep. Free breakfast was good to get the day going. I would stay again in a different room

The staff is amazing the rooms are clean. They are old but sometimes you just have to accept that when they price isn’t too bad. They do have hot breakfast which is a plus and they have free happy hour Monday thru Thursday. I personally will come back here in the future for business or pleasure.

Great hotel overall. Good breakfast in the morning. They provide complimentary bags of water and snacks for guests. Definitely pleased with the service and the hospitality of the staff. The maid staff was very good as well. Monday through Thursday they provide a complimentary light dinner and beer, wine, soda, and water, which was really nice.
Two things they could do to improve are that the bathroom did not have a fan in it and the eggs were usually not warm in the morning but overall I still think it was a great stay.

This will not be my first pick next time I am in Springfield. The hotel has nice staff and is clean for the most part, it’s pretty old. The doors to the rooms are not sealed well so the hallway lights light up the room (not fun when you are trying to sleep). The alarm clock is very bright and you can’t dim it, so I unplugged mine. This hotel allows dogs, which sorry when I am on a business trip I am not a fan of this. There was one across the hall from me and next door and they were some barking fools!

Monday thru Thursday Manager Reception with some evening options suitable for a meal replacement. Get room on even numbered side to reduce road noise.
Parking area was fine during my stay but curious if all 7 floors are occupied where they would fit all the cars.
Clean facilities with super staff who are responsive to a guests needs. I am a Diamond VIP Status member and would stay here again and something I don’t say for all my 150+ hotel nights a year at other locations.

Great for the price range! The on call shuttle to and from the metro is an awesome addition! The rooms are comfortable and clean– everything we were looking for.

I would not recommend this hotel. Although there was one employee that was incredibly helpful, I found the remainder of the staff distant to very unhelpful. The room was okay (with very nice comforters), but the beds themselves were very uncomfortable. The cooling system worked okay, but was not the most effective. The food was bland, both the breakfast and the evening special (some of which seemed microwaved). The elevators were incredibly slow and very rough to ride in. Unfortunately, due to construction, there seemed to be no way to use the stairs to avoid the elevators. Parking was very scarce in the evening, causing me to park at a different hotel and walk.

We were house hunting in the area so had both kids and our dog with us for a long weekend. We were thrilled when we found out we could bring our dog because all other Hampton’s we’ve stayed at have not been pet-​friendly.
However, our stay was less than what we’ve come to expect from Hampton Inn in two distinct areas:
First, the pool is outside and was not open yet – and the website made no mention of this so we had unhappy kids.
Second, the room was VERY small and cramped. We couldn’t even get the luggage rack in the room to empty it – if you pulled it into the room you couldn’t close the door or walk around it! And the bathroom was super tiny – barely any counters to speak of (just like the pictures posted here as I discovered later). It was as small as the room could technically be to fit in the sink, toilet, and shower. And of course we had a dog crate and a pack-​and-​play to fit in – so when you unfolded the couch there wasn’t much room at all. Not fun for three nights. We actually had one free day to stay (we prepaid our stay and couldn’t get a refund for the last night) but with no pool there was no point, so we lost out on a full night’s cost.
The service was good (we had a maintenance issue that was handled quickly and efficiently at 6:30pm and a housekeeping request that was handled just as quickly). The breakfast was what we’ve had before (I never saw it, my husband brought everything back to the room for our family). We had no noise issues.
For an overnight or a stay with 2 – 3 people MAX, I’d give it four stars. For our purpose, I give two stars. So overall it gets three stars.

Not a palace, and not a dump. On balance it was decent. Sure some of the room details showed a little more wear than I would like, and the breakfast was less than spectacular. But the week long stay was comfortable and the staff was accommodating.

Average looking on the outside. Nicely updated rooms on the inside (or at least ours was). The check-​in process was quick, maybe since the clerk would only tell me where the elevators were, but not what room we were in. And speaking of the elevators, they are slow. We were on the 6^th floor and it was almost quicker to take the stairs. The continental breakfast was good, for a hotel. The eating area was considerably undersized for the number of rooms. People were constantly bumping into each other trying to maneuver around. And most of the tables were only for two people. Probably will stay at another place the next time I’m staying in the area.

The walls are extremely thin and we had a noisy neighbor who talked late into the night on his cell and woke up at 5:15 to make more calls. When I called the front desk to alert them they did nothing.
I agree with the other reviewers wrote the rooms are showing their wear. We just came from the Williamsburg Location which was much better maintained for being in a high use area. I also didn’t like that my rate was raised at check in than the one I reserved at. I didn’t even bother checking out the food because we had to catch up on our sleep after our noisy neighbor checked out at six am!

This hotel is a great value due to its location, comfy beds, free shuttle service to local metro station for access to DC and pretty tasty continental breakfast. I would and have recommended this hotel to friends who also want to visit the DC area.
Right off of I-​95 made it a quick trip to the Steven F. Udvar-​Hazy Center for extra Air and Space goodness.
The lobby and facilities in general were very well kept and very cozy.
Would stay here again :)

While this Hampton Inn may not be much to look at from the outside, wedged between the concrete jungle that is I-​95, you can expect your normal Hampton treatment.
What this Hampton does not have in looks, it has in it’s location. I stayed here for business, which gave me relatively quick access to DC, Reagan National and the office. The lobby is a bit aged, but the rooms are up to date and very comfortable. The breakfast resembles food, so you might want to just bypass and get some good food in old town Alexandria. Use Unilocal of course.
I’ll return to this location, for business or pleasure, based on price and location. It’s not the best, but it’s definetly not going to ruin your day or your pocketbook.

A friend of mine drank way too much to drive home. Even though I don’t drink, my friend and I were way too tired to drive him home or maybe we were just too lazy, anyways we all decided last minute to crash at the Hampton Inn. 10 points to us for not allowing drunk driving! For the price, around $ 100 for the night, I think we got a pretty good deal. There were two beds and I thought they were both pretty comfortable, but a few reviews were complaining about them, I think they’re being ridiculous. The bed didn’t have a fleece blanket, probably because it is summer, but my friend just asked the attendant at the check-​in desk and he was happy to get her one. There were even 3 different types of fresh coffee and hot water and packets of tea when we checked in at 1 AM. Now, that’s service. I know you’re probably wondering why in the hell would I want coffee that late, but since I never really stay out late anymore I needed something to help keep me up. They also had bananas, apples, and oranges in case you were hungry.
They had a complimentary breakfast that starts around 6.30(not sure about time). It also had the coffee and tea mentioned above, along with two different types of egg dishes, more fruit, few different types of yogurt, bagels, toast, some sausage, few different brands of cereal and ect, not bad for a complimentary breakfast. Nothing gourmet, but at least my ass didn’t have to drive somewhere else to get food.
Then, I was off to work and my night of fun was over. The end.

Great location, easy access to Metro. Shuttle service to/​from Metro station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Extremely friendly staff, they host a happy hour and are very helpful.
Hotel has been renovated. Beds are fine. I can’t believe how some spoiled people on Unilocal just whine about everything. John L said the bed was too soft. Angela L says the bed was too hard. Give me a friggin’ break. I’ll stay here again.

My old standby when I need to travel to Fort Belvoir. Free parking, free internet, and free breakfast. A better deal than the Hilton next door. Not the best hotel in the area, but it’s convenient to 395, 495, and 95 and the Springfield Metro.

Save yourself some backache and stay elsewhere. I have stayed at multiple Hampton Inns for both business and leisure. This is one of the poorer ones. For me the most important thing about a hotel is the bed; after all, the main reason for the stay is a good nights sleep. They had the standard Hampton Inn duvet and comforter, but pull back the sheets and there lies a mattress that is devoid of any support. I had a room with 2 queen beds and they were both the same. The mattresses are reminiscent of those where the springs have all snapped and you’re ready to buy a new mattress. NO GOOD. Anyone know of a good chiropractor?
Another horrible problem was the air conditioner unit. The panel was, no joke, rusty. It must have been from the late 60s. It had those hard push buttons with a dial thermometer. You never knew what temperature it was going for. The only saving grace was that it was working. But not knowing what temperature it was at, I froze all night.
Free breakfast and wifi were a bonus but not worth the poor nights sleep.

I stayed here on business and was pleased with my room and the service. It seems to have been remodeled and upgraded and I appreciate it.
PROs: free wireless, HBO channels, down comforters, tons of pillows, granite bathroom with curved shower rod and, best of all free breakfast that goes beyond the standard continental. Bonus points for having the grab and go breakfast bags at the front desk.
CONS: Too much light crept into my room at night, could hear loud conversations through the room wall, the bed was way too stiff, and the gym was pretty small.
OVERALL: I’d stay again but I would definitely need a softer mattress.
