TownePlace Suites Springfield

Me and my family stayed at towne place by marriot and we had a wonderful experience, Harold at the front desk is the best person there, he is very helpful kind and the best thing about him is that he guides the guest very well regarding the city and places, Denet, Angela, Shandah and Moo at front desk are also very helpful house keeping staff is excelent at the hotel, i would espcially mention shirlies and Mary are the best house keeping staff at towne place, lulu the maintenance engineer knows his job very well and he is always available to fix things up. The only thing at the hotel which needs to be upgraded is the furniture which has become pretty old. I would highly recommend this place to people for long term stay.

Stayed here for a business trip. Nice central location nearby the interstate, just a few off-​ramps from my trip location. Good amount of restaurants and stores nearby. Out of 5 night stay, we ate within walking distance 3 times. Nice sized room, ac, flatscreen, free wifi, complete kitchen with burners, oven, microwave, and full sized refrigerator. Complimentary continental breakfast (nothing hot except waffles) and shuttle to the Metro station. I needed the Marriott nights, so this worked out. Good stay and one to keep in mind whenever work takes me back to the Springfield VA area! Will repeat and recommend!

After Marriott lost my original reservation at a different property in this area, I booked here at TownePlace Suites. I booked two two — bedroom suites for 6 nights each for our nine Venture Crew Scouts to stay while we explored the nation’s capital.
The total for each room was supposed to be $ 1202.88 for a total of $ 2405.76. We arrived on the 13^th all excited for our trip. The rooms and staff were very nice. The rooms were clean and next to each other as promised. No complaints there.
The problems started three days later when our account was billed $ 1330 per room. I challenged this additional $ 254 with the front desk and told that it was for «incidentals». We were *never* told about this when booking or checking in. I was told that they would release all but $ 50 per room. It never happened
That was bad enough but it gets worse. Two days later an additional $ 200.48 per room was taken from our account in addition to the original amount for a total of $ 655.20 for «incidentals». That caused our account to be fully overdrawn, leaving us no more money to go out for our last trips of the week or the dinner we were going out to. Not to mention no money for expenses getting home.
This is inexcusable.
After multiple trips back and forth to the front desk, they agreed to «release» $ 254 but not the other $ 400.96 which continued to leave our account overdrawn.
So our last two days of our trip were completely ruined because we had no funds available to us because of the shady ways that TownePlace Suites and Marriott took our money from our account to and made it unavailable to us.
Thanks TownePlace Suites. My Scouts appreciate having earned and saved money for a big summer trip and then having to cancel all of the activities for almost three of the days. I’m sure the money will eventually catch up with us, but by then we’ll be 300 miles away with bad memories of what should have been the highlight of their summer.

WOW, where do I begin? I stay at a Marriott once a month for business and have always been quite happy, except for this visit. I pulled in, surprised at how run-​down the exterior looked and constantly questioned myself if it was the right place and if it was a marriott. Sure enough, it was. As I walked inside it was quite gross and dirty, very unkept, reminded me of a motel 6. I kept telling myself it will get better. I went into my room and it continued there. The carpet was filthy and there was grime on the headboard. Completely disgusting. I immediately checked out and will never return and Marriott has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This location I give it a four star. Not a five because they good were they could do more.
HOTEL ROOM
*****Bed was really nice and firm and something I my buy my self. Also every room has a hid away couch. Also very good as well the furnisher
****Kitchen is very nice but I can see if you have a long stay. But only for $ 96.00 a night you will go for it.
–Stove: oven and four electric to cook on.
–Nice size sink, Refrigerator, Microwave, toaster.
***Morning Breakfast. This is very good they switch up from pancake to waffles you can make fresh. Hard bowl eggs and there pre-​made for the hotels changes. Coffees good as well they have the special creamers.
***Free WiFi and location with a special password to log in. Computer is located by the lobby and sitting place. There more by the breakfast room.
***Washer and dryer are one of the best thing to have at a hotel so you don’t need to pack to much clothing. Washing detergent at the front desk.
***They have a small store they sell food, drink, wine and beer. Also all your traveling stuff make you outing very good. Sometime they give them to the customer for free.
****Shuttle bus to and from Metro is out standing. They even take you local areas if they have time or the staff.
**** Pool very very small pool but not to many people every use the pool. Even they have something for people that can’t walk help in getting in the water.
Hotel is next to eatery restaurants, and 7 11 stores. And a Shopping center there remodeling and a shopping mall. If I needed a place to stay I go to this hotel.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Do not stay here.
My husband and I booked a block of rooms here for our guests to stay during our wedding week. Our whole experience was awful due to the disrespectful and unprofessional service we received.
The sales manager was very unorganized. I could never get a hold of her when needed and she would rarely return calls or emails. I had to go out of my way and drive the hotel a few times to find her in person. She did not come to our first meeting that we had scheduled during her office hours to discuss the details and the front desk staff had no idea where she was. She took a month to set up the website for our guests to book rooms when she had promised it with in a week and her excuse was that she lost my email address. We agreed on a shuttle service schedule to transport guests to and from the hotel and wedding venue, but she decreased the number of trips last minute with out informing me so I had to run around the last hour of my own wedding reception trying to figure out how everyone would get back. I could go on forever about all the problems we had but worst of all she made an UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE to my mother’s FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CREDIT CARD, which almost caused her to loose her job.
I emailed the GM to tell her I was dissatisfied with the service and needed to schedule a meeting to discuss the issues. She was very disrespectful and sent me back 2 nasty emails trying to put the blame on me by falsely accusing my guests and I for harassing her employees.

Decent hotel, decent price, DOGS BARKING INCESSANTLY!
Nice place, but be ready to stay awake if you have dogs near you (I had two)

I stayed at this hotel due to it’s close proximity to the metro. I stayed in the one bedroom suite and paid $ 129. The accommodations were good with a mini full kitchen. I was satisfied with the room itself based on whats available in the surrounding area. Unfortunately upon checkout I discovered that my partner’s car had been broken into to which the criminals stole items in the vehicle and tore out the stereo and sound system. This hotel does not have any security or video camaras out side the building. And of course… «it’s not their responsibility» as they put it. If you decide to stay here… and maybe anywhere else around springfield you may want to have an alarm system on your vehicle. Just be aware of your surroundings. I won’t be staying here again as after this incident I would not feel safe.

The Academy United SC stayed here during the WAGS Soccer Tournament October 10 – 11, 2009. Harold, who was at the front desk the evening we arrived, went out of his way to accommodate us at the last minute without a reservation. He took very good care of us and helped turn a bad situation into a good one. The rooms, accomodations and amenities were all very good. Thank you Harold and thank you Towne Place Suites.

I was staying as a business traveler and I must say that the Towne Place Suites seem like an ideal for just that. Location-​wise, they are right next to the highways 395 and 95, but the rooms are not too noisy. I did notice that during the rush hour time frame, there was some noise from helicopters (most likely reporting on the traffic) but this died down by about 7:30.
My room was incredibly tidy and included a fridge, stove, dishwasher and sink in addition to a desk, bed, sofa and TV. Surprisingly, given all of the amenities, the room was not in the least bit cramped. The bed was also quite comfortable. There was free Wi-​Fi in the rooms too.
The staff was helpful and friendly and when I realized I forgot toothpaste, they offered me all kinds of free (sample-​sized) toiletries from toothpaste to deodorant and shampoo. Nice.
Also, there was a continental breakfast that was decently sized with waffles, bagels, yogurt, muffins and cereals.
Definitely four stars as far as business traveling goes.
