Terrible service, I called for takeout and was told 40 minutes and arrived 50 minutes later to a GIANTLINE. I ended up waiting over 90 minutes for food which is ridiculous. Terrible service!

Not only is the food amazing! They are extremely friendly. I called in last minute looking for a place to eat and came upon this place thru Unilocal.I asked if they would do take out 5 mins before they closed and they said sure to my surprise. Ordered Shrimp and Broccoli with egg drop soup! So yummy! Well worth leaving my hotel(Holiday inn Express) 4 mins away to get food since they were so accommodating!

This is the better Chinese restaurant in Springfield. Actually, it is usually quite good; perhaps the best Chinese in the area. Some of the dishes are a miss, but most of them I like a lot. They should really do something about the décor though, with the ripped chairs and such. The last time I went, they sort of overfried the crab rangoons until they were dry, and didn’t bring the tea until we were practically done eating. But 90% of the time I’m happy with this place, and will continue to order from them at least monthly. :)

I like this place a lot, I think it’s the better of the two Chinese restaurants in town(although I wish they had a liquor license). I guess I’m pretty predictable — ordering the Mongolian Curry Noodles has become a regular thing. I like the sesame chicken and the fried rice as well. That stuff is pretty standard fare and doesn’t really differ from what you’ll get in any Chinese restaurant in the northeast, but the curry noodles are pretty different and really good. Nice staff, new owner as of last year I think. It looks like there are some improvements being made — they got a new sign out front, hopefully there’ll be more updates to come. They take plastic, have soft drinks in cans. I always get takeout. Good value.

As a local, we consider this to be one of the best places to get takeout in town: great food, decent price, fast and efficient. It’s not a fancy joint, but that’s not what we go there for, we go there for the food.

Absolutely terrible– I didn’t think Chinese food could be this bad. I ordered a tofu dish– and gagged when I took the first bite of tofu because it was like a chewy chunk of grease. The grease just oozed out. And to top it off, it had NO flavor. The broccoli was so undercooked. My veggie fried rice– ZEROFLAVOR! Spring rolls– NO flavor!?! Seriously — I’m not exaggerating!?! I tried adding a ton of salt to eat the rice and it was just inedible. Never again!

The best Chinese in the area. We always stop by when we are in town but also have been known to make a special trip. The service is top notch.

It’s very hard to find good Chinese food in the area, because I feel they don’t even try. These people are exactly what’s wrong with Chinese here. I’ve only tried this place once, but I won’t be back. There’s no value here for your money and the food quality is poor. I ordered the General Tso’s special with rice — came home to eat it… Ate two bites and realized it tasted like bad fish and threw it out. Absolutely disgusting. I can only imagine what they are doing in the kitchen to make their chicken taste like fish. Done.

There are two Chinese restaurants in Springfield. They both serve pretty standard cheap Chinese food. Shanghai Garden is a good value for your money. You get fast service and large portions. The food is greasy and nothing to rave about, but most of it is reliably good for the price. Their hot and sour soup is particularly tasty. Don’t get the tea unless you can tolerate very cheap tea. The building is a small diner car. It is small and somewhat run-down, but it is clean and comfortable. Usually you will see more people picking up take-out than sitting down to eat.

They give you good portion of food. Your belly will be satisfied and happy. Lunch for $ 7 I got the combo meal with 2 kinds of appetizer, rice, and soup. However, Food is kinda greasy, but it taste good.

Whenever we visit my parents, I love to go to Shanghai Garden(called«the Yellow Trailer» in my family because it is in a yellow dinner type building). They have the best shrimp lo-mein and lunch specials(you can get them after 3pm for an additional charge). We usually do take out, but when we have eaten there, the service has been good. The staff are always friendly and the food is always good. I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad meal.
