We just ate at Oscar’s for dinner tonight after being recommended by front desk personnel at our hotel. Everything we had was delicious! The fresh salad with wonderful vinaigrette dressing. Blue corn chips, salsa and guacamole was also great. My husband liked the amber ale and I had the sangria. The best part was the huge chicken chimichanga that we shared. Tender chicken pieces intermingled with black beans, rice, cheese, and fresh hatch green chiles all covered with an awesome green chile sauce. Glad we ate there and would eat there again. Highly recommend. A Phoenix visitor.

A tourist trap in the the most divine way possible. Never been to a place in a podunk town outside a major tourist destination that is SO. D*MN. GOOD. Get any hamburger. You won’t regret it, even if it initially seems a bit pricey.(You are 10 minutes from one of the prettiest parks in the world, stop being a stingy cheapskate, you dingus.) I’ve also heard amazing things about their breakfast dishes but I’ve never tried them because I love the hamburgers too much.

I’m rating this a 2, actually it should be 1.5. The food was mediocre and only initially poisonous(2) and the service was horrendous(1). First the service. I started with chips & salsa — they charge $ 5 for them here. The waiter never delivered them. In fact he never reappeared until half the meal was over. I cancelled the missing chips at that point. My wife’s burger came but completely opposite to what she ordered. She had a soy allergy and it came loaded with soy produces, although we emphatically asked about and rejected the sides(e.g., fries coated in soy oil). As the waiter only appeared after the meal was near complete, there was atrocious miscommunication between the waiter and the servers. It took another 20 minutes for the re-ordered burger to arrive. Horrible service. The food? Mediocre. The burger was uninspired but edible. The chicken chimichanga may or may not have been fried, probably not. If there was chicken in it, it must have been powdered as I couldn’t taste/feel/see any pieces. On the other hand, the filler gave it a nice bulk. It came with a ¼ inch layer of sides. Mediocre food. The prices were kind of expensive for Mexican.

Oscars is a desert oasis. Perfect lunch place as they have a cool patio and big interior with a strong AC on a hot summer day. Oscars is predominantly Mexican cuisine, I found it to be closer to Tex Mex as well. I ordered their baked burrito and was happy with it. Well filled with veggies, beans and baked to perfection before slathering with their houses green salsa. Also tried their avocado portobello salad which was good as well. I found the prices to be a little high for the taste and ambiance — which was typical of a Tex Mex restaurant. Definitely had a local and fresh flair as the food tasted better than Chuys or Chilis.

Ashley– outstanding server. Chile verde pork enchiladas-average with very little flavor. Blue moon on tap-frosty mug. Limited selection of MX beers. Chips salsa-average…guac-good. Nice outdoor seating with spectacular views. I’d go back for drinks then dine elsewhere.

We had the special – grilled mahi mahi tacos. They were perfect – absolutely delicious. Sad we weren’t hungrier as everything looked good. Perfect place to eat after a day hiking Zion.

gorgeous view from the patio, relatively quick service and accomodating with little ones. huge portions, large enough to split between two peoplr after a long drive! On average $ 14 – 18 per entrée, burgers and sandwiches come with fries(sweet potato or regular) and a pickle. They also have Mexican food, which we didnt end up getting, but the table next to us ordered the pork chile verde burrito that was GINORMOUS. Murder burger was alright, really wanted to like it, but the garlic flavor wasnt there and overall lacked seasoning and unfortunately was pretty bland. Bleu Cheese burger was decent, had a ton of bleu cheese. Fries were the normal fare here, but the sweet potato fries were chunky deliciousness, large sweet potato goodness. overall decent for a quick lunch after a long car ride; would definitely recommend splitting food or get ready for leftovers. tl; dr Burgers bland, gorgeous view, get the sweet potato fries, large portions to split

Good food and large portion sizes. Steak burrito is yummy! Super friendly staff. Smaller restaurant, so Wait times to be seated could take up to 30 minutes.

We’ve only been there for breakfast(probably 10 times!) and it’s always great. if you’re man or woman enough, get yourself a horseshoe;it’s got all sorts of goodies in it. The pancakes are great too as well as the steel cut oats. Our best experiences were when we had Grant serving us, he’s just the right amount of sweet and salty.

Very fresh food! Green chile sauce is out of this world. Love the fresh garden salad that seems to replace the typical chips and salsa. Friendly folks and clean, active atmosphere, keeps us coming back!

This place is an absolute gem and one you should not miss out on whether you’re staying at Zion or passing by. The food portions are huge! I ordered the fish tacos mahi mahi special; you get 3 tacos each full stuffed. The staff is also really attentive and comes around very often to make sure that you’re happy with the food and comfortable with the dining experience. Restaurant has both indoor and out door seating and parking space available. We went in the mid afternoon and it was still lightly packed. Overall, excellent choice.

It’s 9:00 on a Tuesday night, as it would be after 3 hours of vigorous post-workday site-seeing. I saw as much of Zion as I could in that time, and I was thrilled to see that Oscars was still open this late in the day. It’s dark now, yet I can see and feel the silhouette of the mountains as I am seated at a copper top table outside. I ordered the Southwest Chops. I thought it odd that I wasn’t asked about a side dish, but quickly learned that the sides are fixed with the pork chips — black beans, corn-topped twice baked potatoes stuffed in a bell pepper, and a side salad from heaven. Chops were temperature hot as hades, but very tasty. Sides were excellent as well. Unilocalers don’t lie, Oscars is top notch.

Had dinner here after a hike in Zion National Park. Had to feed a hungry family that includes a picky 9 year-old. Spouse had a chicken chimichanga, I had the veggie and black bean chimichanga, and my son had the Mucho Nachos minus jalapeños and salsa. How don’t like nothin spicy, ya dig? This throws off some places. No problema here. After a brief wait for a table, we were seated, ordered and food came out fast. The order was right and the chimichangas were outstanding. Huge American portions. I could finish my. Bill came to about $ 78 because we also ordered to beers. Overall, an outstanding, straightforward presentation and execution of a product plus attentive and fast, friendly service. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Springdale or Zion National Park.

One of the best places we ate at while in Utah. I wanted to go here initially, but was thrilled that our bed and breakfast gave us vouchers here. Location is beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the beautiful mountains of Zion. We were kept warm by the strong heaters. Service was superb. Our waitress was so attentive and kind. I ordered the french toast and was not disappointed. It was delicious and super filling. I loved the fresh berries and that I got to substitute veggies for the bacon. The breakfast kept me full so that I got through a long day of hiking without getting hungry. You should definitely come here if visiting Zion.

We were greeted at the as soon as we walked in. We noticed a booth in a corner, outside, that we wanted to sit at. The host actually suggested it before we could ask. Our waiter was so friendly and had a great personality! The portions were huge and the food was so flavourful! For being outside, it was very clean. And the view of Zion Canyon was spectacular!

We first saw Oscar’s when we had grabbed breakfast across the street at Deep Creek; the nice Adobe architecture seemed promising. When we reviewed the menu, the burgers were priced around $ 14 and so we had high expectations. I ordered the Portobello. It was a bit disappointing, not inedible, just bland. I do have a palette that prefers stronger flavors, so please take that with a grain of salt(no pun intended!) The sweet potato fries I had on the side were pretty good though, they were steak fries cut as well, which is my fave. My boyfriend ordered the Murder Burger which he also concurred seemed too pricey for a mediocre burger, and a vanilla latte which was way too sweet. He ended up ordering an extra expresso shot just to balance it out! Finally in terms of service, we had to call our waitress’s attention multiple times even though we came at a slower time in the day. Overall, it was our first time visiting Springdale, and based on the burgers and prices I would recommend going to other places in the area for a better experience.

We started off with the bottomless chips and salsa and had at least 1 refill before our orders came. The murder burger was massive and delicious. The sweet potato fries didn’t cost extra and I wish had ordered that instead of normal fries. The sweet potato fries are quite large in size and on hindsight we really didn’t need to order the bottomless chips since we couldn’t even finish the fries. The place was packed, yet service was still on point.

A Mexican restaurant in a small mountain town = the best! The best the best the best. There’s nothing like full fledge protein and heartiness after a day of exploring the park, or in our case a whole day of driving to get to the park. We arrived at Zion at approximately 3pm, explored a little. We checked in around 5 to our hotel at Desert Pearl and decided to try this restaurant out. Trust me, after a long day of driving the last thing you’d want is cold sandwiches and salad! The food here is fantastic, the atmosphere warm and comforting. The restaurant is actually located in a cute town inside the park, located in the«downtown» area which is only one street. This restaurant is not hard to find, and there was plenty of parking at 6pm. It does get busy though, especially later in the evening so be ready to street park. Once inside, the tables are big and spacious and we opted to sit outside under heat lamps, which kept us super warm in the 12 degree weather! Thumbs up for that! We ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were dressed with cheese and stuffed inside a chile releno pepper. It was quite good, and the mash was really good. The chops were thin, perfectly cooked but a bit bland in taste. Still good, although I’ve had better elsewhere. The 2nd dish we got was the carnitas wet burrito. That one was so delicious! The meat was perfectly seasoned and complimented perfectly with the chile verde and the sour cream. It was truly heart attack inducing in the best way. The skin was panned heated well — not too crispy and not saggy. The chile verde was tart and tangy, seasoned generously well. That with the meat was a perfect marriage of flavors. Also the portions are really large here. You can easily share one thing with a friend! No doubt. This restaurant is definitely a recommendation if you want something familiar, HOT and reliably good. You can’t really go wrong because there’s things that would cater to everyone here. Service was quick and attentive, and the staff was kind and patient. I’m sure they get tons of tourists here everyday. The prices are a bit high but you have to expect it because it’s inside the park. It’s not too bad, but you must take into consideration everything from groceries to everyday items are marked up so the prices at these restaurants are reflected in the inflation of everything. Good choice for dinner. Casual. Relaxing. Perfect way to end the night.

The word charming comes to mind. This restaurant is called Oscars and that happens to be my brothers name and sometimes you make decisions based on simple facts like this. Just off of the main road of possibly the cutest little town of Springdale UT is this cozy eatery. It’s so charming and it begins to welcome you from the street. You can choose to sit inside or outside as we chose to admire the mountain views and breathe in the fresh air. Seating is very comfortable and this place is extra colorful. The food was pricey but really delicious with great bold Mexican flavors. Note to all visitors — everything in this town is pricey. We had white wine margaritas, house salads with an incredibly delicious dressing(balsamic, olive oil & dill) and shared the very large fish tacos plate that came with rice & black beans. Everything tasted great. The service was very friendly and it was a great way to end another awesome trip to Zion!
