This year, the AD-​VISOR celebrates its 43^rd year of publishing. This remarkable accomplishment is due, in large part, to the success of our paper in fulfilling the advertising needs of our clients, and to providing a valuable resource for the people of San Diego. Our ad rates are among the very lowest in the industry, while our ad quality is excellent. and we offer free ad design to all our clients.

Every Thursday for the past 43 years, the Ad-​visor has been distributed to over 1,500 high-​traffic locations throughout south San Diego County, Mira Mesa to the border, lakeside to the beaches.

History

Established in 1968.

Until recent years, the Ad-​Visor was composed using traditional «paste-​up» methods. All of the text, graphics, and photos were printed out individually and pasted into large layout forms. The pages were then sent to the printer, who photographed them and converted the film into printing plates for offset printing. Today, the Ad-​Visor is composed and printed with the latest state-​of-​the-​art computer and software technology. The result is a very high quality, efficient production process that serves our clients and staff well.
