I’m rather surprised that there isn’t a review up for this place yet. Well, I believe it’s time to remedy that. Over a year ago, I finally got up the nerve to bid some of my beloved hair goodbye and get an undercut. But not just any normal undercut. I was looking to get a unique design with it too. I intended on paying tribute to one of my favorite bands, B2ST, for their first performance in the US. It was totally by chance(and perhaps glorious fate) that I came upon Daniel’s, mistaking it for another shop I’d looked up. Oblivious to my mistake, I walk in and I ask who in the shop was most capable of providing me with my hair cut. And I was immediately directed to Andrew. He’s a friendly and welcoming character. I was a nervous wreck up until I was actually seated in his chair, feeling like I could be confident in his ability. He was attentive and made sure I was ready to commit before he started to take the hair off. Some time passes and I am left with a stunning design on the side of my head. It turned out to have alot more visual interest than I anticipated. Rather than just carving out bald parts to spell B2ST in an ordinary fashion, he made the lettering kinda pop. I was blown away. Ever since then, I have loyally returned to him for designs in my undercut and each time I’m as impressed as the first. And at $ 15-$ 20 for a design, I find the work to be well worth the price. Andrew is naturally talented, pays attention to detail and he’s fun to be around. Even the less demanding haircuts he gives other customers are clean and well executed. I’ve managed to achieve minor Tumblr fame because of his work. I’ll never let anyone else handle my undercut as long as he’s around. The only downside to the shop is the odd, cramped layout and the wait. Even when I make appointments, I still find myself getting pushed back a bit every time. The atmosphere in the shop is laid back and relaxed, which is awesome. But at times I find myself wishing for better time management.
