The building is falling apart, they don’t take debit or credit. And the blonde«owner» is an ass. Needless to say, I’m now at Publix.

I knew that I was going to be in the area, so I had already chosen this place for lunch prior to my arrival. I stopped in. It’s small, there are no tables or booths to eat your meal at. Their sign on the outside says«home of the beast», so that’s what I ordered. After a few minutes, I separated with eight dollars and change, and left with The Beast and a bottle of sweet tea. I drove to a Publix parking lot, and unwrapped this sandwich of lore. It’s decently sized, but it’s not ginormous, and not worthy of The Beast moniker. The bread was good, the meats were good, and the vegetables were good. It was good, not bad, not great. Having no dining area, and only accepting cash hurts the rating a bit. Decent value, decent sandwich, A-ok by me.

I’ve been going to Donnelly’s since I moved to Spring Hill years ago. Their subs are fantastic — but be mindful you have to specify EXACTLY what you want on it. They do not automatically add mayo, lettuce, mustard, etc. Only thing that drives me nuts is they only take cash — so I have to be prepared for a Donnelly’s run.

Always get a sub from here when I’m back home in Spring Hill. The philly steak and Italian are amazing. The guys there are really helpful and the subs are always good. I have to check out the rest of the menu and the selection they have in store. It all looks awesome

Was referred by a friend awhile back. Probably the best sub I’ve had in awhile. However, today was a sad parting good-bye… like most, I expect my sub to come with cheese(included in the price). Because they are nothing short of the typical surprise price increase, I will never go here again. This really sucks, location was awesome. Guess I’m going back to Jersey Mikes!

I have resided in Orlando for 8 years and come to Donnelly’s every time am back in town(never mind that subs are not exactly encompassed by my usual diet). It has been my lunch-treat choice for about 15 years. The meat is fresh, high-quality, and perfectly slices, and while there is only one option for the hoagie bread, it’s the right option. The owners are down-to-earth with the kind of spunk and efficiency exclusive to New York transplants, and the quaint shop is adorned with real pictures, awards, and articles pertaining to the Donnelly family. They do family business like it should be done. If you’re on your way to Subway, turn around.

I’m originally from Indiana and had my favorite sub up there over a thousand times. So I know sandwiches. «The Beast» is excellent. Best sandwich I’ve had since I moved to Florida.

The BEST sandwich in all of florida! I’ve been from Miami to orlando and everywhere in between and No one can compare when it comes to subs… The beast blows everyone out of the water. Little hole in the wall place that ONLY takes cash or local check but it’s fantastic!!! Food is always consistent and the bread they use for the sandwiches just melts in your mouth!!!

I frequent Donnelley’s as often as I can, especially for the breakfast sandwiches that they make. Bacon, Eggs & Cheese on a Kaiser roll,… The Best! The subs there are good too! Pastrami, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Italian, Liverwurst,. literally anything you want! Good food + good price = I’ll see you again soon! Great little sandwich shop!

I’ve lived in spring hill my whole life and always heard great things about Donnelly’s. Finally tried«the beast» and my god instant heaven. I’ve said goodbye to those corporate sandwich places and head straight to Donnelly’s. The owner is a really nice guy as well always up for conversation. I would suggest this deli to anyone!

BEAST! I crave this sandwich. This is my first stop when I go back home. I wish they didn’t change their mac salad and I wish the other location was still open, but I guess times change :(And I will drive far for this hoagie!

I was very excited to try this deli. I had been planning it for a week. The reviews were awesome. I finally arrived but never got a chance to try the food. The reason you ask? They don’t take credit cards. I understand it is listed on Unilocal they don’t but who would think to check if a business took credit cards in 2013. The food may be good, the service may be good but I will never know. Here is my suggestion. Give me an option pay cash or pay the card fee. This would at least give me an option as a customer. Check out square they have no monthly fee and no hardware to buy. The fee is the same for all card types. If you are going to do reviews online and try to be social in 2013 maybe the heart of your business(taking payments) should be up to date as well.

Top notch sandwich. It ain’t(to my wife, I know ain’t ISN’T a word LOL) subway. Hoagie roll really stood out. Ma n’ Pa type of a location. The owner had his son’s little league baseball pictures from the 80’s still on the wall. Great, great sandwich and they have some of your Philadelphia favorites as well like Herr’s and Tasty Cake.
