Dia Doce

The BEST cupcakes! My co-​workers and I love visiting the truck when it makes a stop at the Devon Whole Foods. Every flavor has been a hit!

Had the pleasure of trying some of Dia Doce’s cupcakes last week when I went to my annual holiday bazaar at work… They were selling them at a table amongst all the other vendors. When I saw the sign saying they had won Cupcake Wars on Food Network, I knew I just had to get some for my daughter cause she loves the show. We tried the Smores, Cookies and Cream, and Red Velvet. They were very good, and still nice and fresh several days later:) And my daughter was tickled pink!

Dia Doce is a major obsession for me. They make the most amazing cupcakes I’ve ever had. My personal favorites are the mojito and the whiskey sour… Though the white velvet, the strawberry lemon basil, the salted caramel, and … Ok… They are all super-​fantabulously yummy! It is definitely worth tracking her truck down for a little piece of Nirvana. A schedule of her stops and flavors for the week are usually on her website

I was looking for a place where I could find good cupcakes for my four-​year-​old daughter’s birthday party. I happened to stumble on a Unilocal review for Dia Doce online. That review, and the others I found, were raves, so I thought I would call and see what they were able to do for the party.
I ended up having a lovely conversation with Thais, the owner. She was so incredibly helpful, offering to decorate the cupcakes to match the party invitations. And also putting glitter and sparkles, my daughter’s favorites, on the cupcakes. I told her I would decide on the flavors for the kids and the adults after reviewing her site and call her back that afternoon.
Yet what actually happened is that I became overwhelmed with all the amazing choices that were available. We went with the chocolate Black Magic and the vanilla Cottontail for the kids. But for the adults, boy did I have trouble. We finally settled on red velvet cake, carrot cake, Oreo cookie and strawberries and cream. But honestly I could have ordered about 6 other varieties.
When these cupcakes were brought out at the party, everyone was in heaven. I got to try the red velvet cake and the strawberries with cream. Both were amazing. A nice soft crumb, not too sweet, just delightful. Though we had ordered a little extra, we had few cupcakes to bring back after the party. People asked where they came from and I couldn’t help raving about Dia Doce.
I know people say that the cupcake craze is over but from where I sit, it’s still working out really well at Dia Doce. I will be sampling their cupcakes again and again.

Dia Dolce cupcakes are to die for. I’ve had the opportunity to have several different types of their cupcakes (s’mores, chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry, chocolate peanut butter, oreo) and they are simply delicious! I have yet to try a cupcake that I don’t love. Each cupcake is beautifully decorated. Dia Dolce is my guilty indulgence that can provide whatever flavor cupcake my heart desires – and never fails to please.
