This bakery and café has the best coffee for miles. The friendly staff and yummy baked goods make the entire experience enjoyable. With a fun location in the heart of downtown Phoenixville, I would recommend Soltane to anyone!

Always call before you try to go here they are never open. I have tried to go multiple times but they will just be randomly closed and the only thing telling you is a very small piece of paper. Also the website isn’t even accurate it says they are open until 4.

One of the best iced lattes I have ever enjoyed was purchased here. Plus, I was overjoyed that coconut milk was an option — without an upcharge! I would be a devoted customer if I lived anywhere nearby. Highly recommend!

Soltane is by far my favorite coffee shop this side of the city. Peter knows my order, and exactly how I like my coffee. The freshly prepared pastries are to die for! It has the perfect vibe to come in and melt away into a book, catch up on some emails and work, or sit outside with friends and catch up on their picnic tables. The new renovation is warm and rich in wooden detail without losing its rustic charm. And they are expanding their hours and are even now open on Tuesday’s!

The coffee is incredible. The workers know the menu well also. I tried the spinach and feta scones as well as the ice cream cookie sandwich. I was honestly impressed with everything. I will be back the next time we are in the area.

Great little place for coffee and a pastry. After the first visit the staff already remembered my name and preferred drink! Everything here is made with care and quality ingredients. Lattes, mochas, pour over coffees… you really can’t go wrong whatever you order. The best part, however, isn’t the coffee but the community. Phoenixville really loves this place. Tons of repeat customers give it a familial atmosphere. Come visit!

I had a delicious chocolate chip scone and café mocha! And what an awesome company! It’s amazing that they hire disabled individuals. They have such a cool little shop too.

Breads and spreads is a fabulous coffee bar/bakery that supports an awesome cause! I love swinging by to grab a quick cup of too notch coffee to go. Or settling in with a good book while watching the morning foot traffic out the window. Their bread and pastries are out of this world! My personal favorite is the ham and cheese croissant! They also started serving fresh bagels on Saturday mornings, talk about a delicious start to your weekend! Thankful to have this establishment near my home, and proud of all the good work they have and will continue to do for our community! #EatLocal #DrinkLocal

Ginger scones — yum! Plenty of lovely chunks of hot & sweet ginger. Great coffee and an interesting little spot to sit.

Great barista, and the most wonderful fire-baked bread and pastries! It smells like a campfire when you walk into the place. My favorites are the scones(ginger, if they aren’t sold out) and ANY of the breads. The cookies are to die for! I do wish it was a bit larger, as the music and commotion and get a bit noisy. I also wish I could stop in on my way to work! They only open at 8:00 a.m., so they miss out on the business from those of us who start work at 8:00 a.m. There is a lot of traffic that goes by the store in the morning, so maybe they’ll reconsider in the future? For now, that well-known chain coffee shop has to get my morning business. :-(

Thank heavens for Soltane! I just had a DELICIOUS macchiato(not the Starbucks version) and an Americano. I was surprised and very much delighted to find they are pulling Counter Cultures roasts-yum! I also grabbed some of their fresh, house baked goodies: chocolate scone, oatmeal cookie and a croissant. Can’t wait to try those and I certainly cannot wait to pass through Pville again soon for another macchiato! Very friendly people behind the counter!

Now in my top ten of favorite coffee spots and baristas Peter ranks up there with the best baristas I have run across, and I have been to my fair share of coffee houses, like a java infused hummingbird. Peter knows his stuff. He is friendly, knows his brew and eager to share his knowledge with you. There is a difference in baristas though, which may or may not affect your experience. The bread is fantastic. The folks will even slice up warm individual slices ready for you to enjoy with your cup of coffee or tea. The thing that sets Soltane apart though, is the commitment to community. This makes them rock awesome. Worth the visit.

Love this place. Our coffee/lattes were great and our croissants were very good and flaky. Everything here is very high quality and almost completely local and/or organic. So just for the coffee and food I’d give this place 5 stars. Better yet, though, this place is part of Camphill Soltane which is an awesome community that helps those with disabilities. A lot of folks from the community work at this bakery and everyone could not be friendlier. So drink your coffee and eat your pastry knowing that you’re supporting a great cause. Can’t beat that.

Best coffee I had for a long time. Beautiful bouquet, aroma with a chocolaty rich taste. The scones were soooo good that I am already thinking of tomorrow’s coffe and scones. Beautiful service as well.

I’ve visited Camphill Soltane before and Soltane Breads & Spreads is a truly awesome off-shoot that makes some of the best pastries I’ve encountered in the United States. Even the croissants are immense, rich with flavor, and very filling. The prices might seem high, but the money is going towards a very worthwhile mission.

Woah! The Spinach and Feta Croissant is out-of-this-world! The Chocolate Croissant, which is loaded with melt-in-your-mouth coco-y bliss, is great as well. The total for the two was around $ 8. If I lived closer, I would definitely pick up hostess gifts here.

One should be aware that just about everything here is LOCAL&/OR ORGANIC. If one considers that the raw ingredients(in the Coffee and Bread & Pastries) cost sometimes 25−50% more than other places(or if it is Wawa probably even 75%) then the question is — why are the prices so reasonable?
