I don’t eat Mexican food everyday but when I do I PREFERDADDY O’S! This is a family owned restaurant and they make every effort to make you feel at home and satisfied. It’s a little drive from my house but I will pass up three Mexican restaurants on the way just to get a FANTASTIC Mexican meal @ DADDY O’S!

It’s time here and really enjoyed it. Chalupas, borracho beans and cheese enchiladas were the bomb. 3 seating areas and several TVs so we could watch the game. Clean and great service. We will be back!

We went here to get some heat in our bodies on a cold rainy night. A little Tex Mex will do that every time. Exterior lighting is poor, so watch your step. Also, rain on the wooden steps make footing extremely slick. Walking in, you see all the specials posted for today. Seating in this area is limited, but having been here before, we knew about the seating in other rooms. We found a nice table in the back with football playing on the big screens on a couple of walls. Menu’s were already on the table, and a waitress came quickly for our drink orders. She also brought out the chips and tasty salsa. When she returned with our drinks, we were ready to order. Of course, we had to start with some queso, and everybody ordered something different. I ordered the cheese enchiladas. The queso came quickly, and we dived in. It was really good, so we were glad we tried it. Then the main meals came, and everybody liked what they got. Will we return? Definitely!

I don’t know how this place has high rankings. The margaritas were chemical-ly. Literally they were blue-green. Really overly sweet, and I think it was that tequila flavored liquor. Really pathetic for a Texas establishment. The queso was lack-luster. I’m not even sure what it was made of. No spice, no kick, no nothing. I ordered the enchiladas suizas. They were flavorless. My friends ordered fajitas and they were super greasy. No one was impressed with their meals. On vacation and this was a total bummer.

Great food… we had 7 people but still thought it was a little slow. The food was really good and the only reason that I only gave it a three was because the rice was very cold, the chicken enchiladas were warm, and I really prefer having hot food served to me. I will try it one more time, but will make them take it back if it’s not hot enough.

Great Food and Atmosphere, our waitress was amazing and so sweet, she made our dine in experience a great one. The chips and salsa were Wonderful. The food came out in little time and was fresh and packed with flavor. I recommend this place any day, awesome food and great people.

Same food as Papa Gallos, run by the same family. Nice Texas casual atmosphere. Chili cheese enchiladas and nachos were both very good. I wonder how they feel about this sister taking business from the other sister. Can’t go wrong at either location.

I’m from Houston where we have dozens of great Tex Mex restaurants. This place ranks up there as one of the best. Cheese enchiladas are outstanding. Chips and salsa outstanding. Everything is very fresh and made in house. Family owned and operated. Fantastic hospitality and charming décor. Highly recommend this place.

Little place off Hwy 46 has good food and good service. Big portions. Small menu but I like that so not to many choices. Chips are good and so is the salsa.

Friday night and the place was packed. A steady stream of people were coming and going. Server was very attentive, food came out fast(even with a full house) and the food was… oh so very, very good. Chicken had a wonderful smoked flavor; fajita trio was excellent and fish tacos tasted great. Atmosphere was loud but you could still carry on a conversation across the table without yelling. This place has quickly become one of our favorites. Try the ribeye nachos. They are fantastic.

Second time there since opening. Food is good but just not quite«Mexican» enough for me. The Spanish rice was lacking flavor and not quite fully cooked. My enchiladas were good but not south side San Antonio good. The noise level was a little high but no where near the level of Papagallos and those noisy chairs. The waitress was great! A little pricey for Mexican food. Our bill was $ 72 including tip for four with four beers. I will return but not that often.

Light lunch and small group meeting. Beer & margaritas with split quesadilla and an adult served a ‘child’ enchilada plate… perfect for lunch, including chips and salsa. Service was good but not intrusive. I like their salsa.

This is a new Mexican restaurant in the Bulverde area. I went on a Saturday evening and it was full. Parking was very limited, roadside mostly. My party waited at the bar for about 15 minutes, when we were seated by a frazzled waitress. We noticed a mild rotten egg smell in the dining area near the pool table. Natural Gas? Yikes! The table and chairs were a bit worn and wobbly. Eh. I’ve learned that you can judge a Mexican restaurant by it’s chips and salsa. It was quite good. Thin, fresh chips, and the salsa was homemade, albeit mild. When our(frazzled) waitress returned, she wasn’t any better. As a matter of fact she was was borderline rude as she took our orders. I had inadvertently dropped my fork and asked her for another, she«acknowledged» me. Our meals arrived in about 20 minutes. Pretty good for being so busy. But guess what, no fork. I reminded the waitress and she left. A very nice server returned with a fork. I had the«Three Color» Enchiladas, with the traditional Spanish rice and retried beans. The enchiladas were cheese, chicken and ground beef covered with a delightful chili sauce and cheese. A very good meal. My teenaged daughter(who is NOT a Mexican food fan) ordered the Chicken Fajita Burrito topped with guacamole, sour cream and shredded cheese. She LOVED it! What a surprise! Our bill was less than $ 50 for three, including a margarita. When it was time to pay the bill, our(frazzled) waitress was SUDDENLY very nice! Hmmm… In a nutshell, go for the tasty food.

The shrimp fajitas were so good! People were so nice and service was great and efficient. There were 6 of us and every one of our orders were right. That just never happens. I will definitely be back!

Same décor leftover from Honey Creek… the wooden Indian is still there! The food is fresh and tasty. Big portions. Found a couple of bones in my chicken enchiladas, but hey, that means it’s not from a can. We’ll be back!

Just ate lunch there today and boy was it delicious! I had the enchiladas with chili sauce and the chili was excellent. Boracho beans were very good — just the right spice and flavor and the tortillas tasted homemade. Finished off my meal with a «whipped cream taco» which was like a cinnamon flavored shell filled with fresh whipped cream and garnished with berries. It was light and flavorful. I would be back to eat there very soon.
