Rodeway Inn & Suites

Keep in mind this is a five star review for a low cost hotel. The whole complex is SO clean and nice. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. Our room was spotless with very comfy bedding. We had complex booking, and the clerks handled it with ease. I have stayed at some more expensive hotels that were nowhere near as nice as this place.

Based on price, i give it 4 Stars. It is not the Ritz, but for a small business owner on a trip with a tight budget, it was great deal. If you are looking to be pampered and want a 60 inch Hi-​Def TV, pay another $ 50+ per night. My room was clean, it had an old but excellent TV with full cable service, free WiFi, parking and continental breakfast. If you need more than a bowl of hot or cold cereal, toast, toast, Bagel or a muffin, pay more somewhere else. I paid $ 60, inclusive and will stay here again on my mext trip to Spokane. Right on the freeway and about 10 minutes from GU and Downtown.

This hotel rates very low on the list of hotels that I have ever been in. I don’t consider myself an authority but for a cheap price I expect the basics.
The room I stayed in appeared ok at first but upon further inspection I found many deficiencies that gave me cause for concern.
Here are the most notable problems:
Old tv from the early 2000s probably no flat screen/​hd
Alarm clock was unplugged, and coated with dust and film.
There was a beer can behind the table the alarm clock was on, making me wonder what the cleaning standards are.
Several outlets in the room were broken, and unsafe to use.
There’s a grocery bag on the wall covering a broken motion sensor with exposed wires.
Today it was 99 degrees outside and the heat was on in sections of the building along with the room itself was blazing hot upon entering.
Most items requiring power were unplugged throughout the room.
At some point there was a painting in the room and there’s just a space for it now with screws still present.
There was a ridiculous amount of fingerprints and dirt smudges on the wall everywhere a person might touch.
The blanket had a musty smell to it, which is never a pleasant experience. I can’t really think of anything nice to say about this place, it’s located in an industrial area in Spokane so there’s nothing to look at outside. The hotel does have wifi, but it’s unsecured. Which is a liability, and when I say unsecured, I mean the router password and IP address is the default out of the box.

When we first arrived, the man at the front counter barely spoke any English it was very hard to check in. The floors were very dirty in the stair wells, and it smelt bad in the hallways. When we got into the room in was musty and smelt strongly like smoke, even though we had a non smoking room. Also the air didn’t really work it was quite sad. Now when I looked at the bed there were stains all over it, I was disgusted. And to top all of this off there was mud on the wall!

Not sure of this place has had an inspection lately. Despite other reviews our room was spotless. Wifi didn’t work. Luckily we got here late on a sold out night in August 2014 and we were only spending only a short night to rest on our way through.
Rate was $ 77 all in so I’m not complaining, but you really get what you paid for. If your used to Sheraton’s, Westin’s and the Marriott brands I suggest you skip this place.

Stayed here 6 – 28 and 6−29−13 we had a double queen for 116.00. Definitely overpriced. Everything in the room needed a thorough cleaning. Nothing ever gets wiped down, light switches, lamps, phone, remotes etc. room needs a thorough vacuuming as well. Tiny bathroom and dark. The area is industrial and sketchy. The people in the room next door said their room was the same. Décor is old and dated. Blankets on the beds had holes in them. Pluses are, close to freeway, staff was friendly.

Clean hotel at reasonable rate. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Hotel is quiet even though it is on a fairly busy street. Have stayed there before and will again.

Rooms were clean, if simple. Staff was professional and helpful. Continental breakfast was simple.

It’s fine for what it is– a bed for the night. Spacious bathroom, table and chairs, closet and plenty of cable channels are welcome additions. It’s very clean and the housekeeping service and front desk are very accommodating. Inexpensive and convenient. This is definitely a stop for truckers which is probably what makes this place so quiet. I had plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Just what I needed.

Coming to Spokane Valley for my friend’s wedding, I went for one of the least expensive options, the Rodeway Inn. When I told my friend’s mom where I was staying, her response was «Oh, bless your heart!» Translation: how in the world can you stay in a place like that?
Ok, the bed was acceptable, and the room was a decent size. For just staying a night, it wasn’t bad for the price. However, there were some things that really put me off:
1. the pillows were flat and one pillow case had a big hole in it
2. evidently conditioner is considered too high-​end for them (figures it would be the one time I didn’t bring any with me)
3. when attempting to take a shower the night I got in, it probably took a good 15 minutes before the water warmed up
4. the woman at the front desk really came across like she was inconvenienced to be there or talk to me
I’d definitely recommend going somewhere else.

For around $ 55 the was by far the biggest, most comfortable room on my trip so far. There was hot water when I got there, but the next morning there was no hot water at 5 in the morning. I called the front desk and the manager said he was on the same hot water tank and that his water was hot. My room was located nearly all the way at the opposite end of the building.
Give yourself an extra ten minutes in the morning and a phone call to the front desk about not having hot water.

Pretty good, middle of the line hotel. What you would expect for the price. Clean rooms, staff is nice, free wi-​fi, continental breakfast is a little small (just toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee… nothing exciting). The rooms were decent, although I would suggest getting a room in the building that the lobby is in. We stayed one night in each building, and the lobby building seems much newer and the rooms are more updated and nicer. They have a very small exercise room and a small outdoor pool, neither of which we used. All in all, and ok place to stay.
