Established in 2011.

When KAMU opened in 2011, it was only an esthetics boutique. We started in the Wetzel building downtown in a space just under 400sf. We expanded August 2014 into the Hale building, into a space just under 1,400sf! KAMU added 4 stations to provide a full service salon for current clients and future bridal clients. KAMU now offers hair services as well as esthetics and we plan to keep growing. We went from 2 owners to a team of 9. Call us today to get the ultimate beauty experience!

Business Owner

Alexa grew up in a dance family and had her first makeup class when she was in 3^rd grade. From there she was hooked. After high school, Alexa attended Portland Beauty School for Esthetics and immediately got licensed. Once licensed, Alexa freelanced for a short time and thought about expanding her esthetics/​makeup journey to Seattle though her love for Spokane kept her local. She then started KAMU with her mother Melinda (co-​owner/​custom bridal accessory creator) in December of 2011. Since then Alexa has been exponentially growing clientele, growing in the wedding world, and growing her business. Alexa specializes in bridal makeup, lash extensions, waxing, airbrush tanning and Halloween/​special event makeup.
