Elixir Salon

I’m always worried to try a new salon but I had a great experience at Elixir. The staff is fun, lively, nice, and knowledgeable! Grant is an amazing stylist!!! He gave me the cut and color I was asking for. And he was very helpful and respectful with a hair condition that I have. He gave me a lot of advice and I am glad to have found this place. I will be going back!!! Thanks Grant you’re the best!!!

Grant is great! He is a magician with color and his prices are fabulous. I highly recommend this salon!

Generally, I wouldn’t say that I’m a picky person, and my hair is one area that applies. That being said, I generally like to leave a salon with hair that I am happy with when I look in the mirror. More often than not, though, if I ever do go in asking for something, it’s fairly straightforward, so as to nix out room for large errors. Unfortunately, I’m always a little disappointed with the result, but I’ve gotten used to it.
That all changed when I went to Elixir. I was lucky enough to snag an appointment with Grant, the manager of the salon (which I was able to do online at their website). Not only was he very funny and personable, he communicated with me very well on what kind of hairstyle I was envisioning throughout my appointment. I went in and asked for purple peekaboo highlights and a shaggy cut, and what did I leave with? Purple peekaboo highlights and a shaggy cut. It was exactly what I had asked for, and it looked amazing! And the price was actually affordable, to boot.
One thing I will add as more of a precaution: the parking situation is a bit confusing, as the front, main entrance is not on the main road. Thankfully, though, they explain where parking is on the site itself to help avoid any further confusion.
To Grant and the rest of the Elixir crew, I want to thank you for giving me an amazing salon experience! I’ll be coming back next time I’m in need of hair magic. [:

I am from Spokane but now live in Hawaii, my visits are few and far between but I will let my hair have 6 inches of grow out before I let anyone else touch my head other than Niki. She is marvelous!

Best experience ever! Grant Stead is worth every penny. He squeezed me in because I am leaving for vacation soon and because he loves doing hair! I got a cut, partial highlight with tone and blow dry. Price was amazing, location was easy to get to, the building was super clean and adorable. You can tell that Grant takes pride in his work and his salon. The scalp massage was so good. I should have just emptied my wallet for the massage! His work was quick, efficient and perfectly executed. He will be my go to man when I am in town.

I am fairly new to the area, and I cannot tell you how happy my daughter and I are on discovering this Fabulous Salon. I brought my daughter in for a haircut, which was done by Grant, the owner. It turned out picture perfect and he was very friendly and he really took the time to ask questions along the way making sure it was exactly how she wanted it. The salon is set up very nice and each of the stylists were very friendly and just made it a place that you would want to come back to. I decided to make an appt. myself with Niki and had foil highlights done the next day (Sunday…very nice). My hair has not looked this good in a very long time. She did a great job! I can see why people travel hundreds of miles to get their hair done here.

I have been going to Elixir for a year for color. Niki Burch is my stylist and does a GREAT job. I show her a picture and she can create the exact color that I want. She has a real knack for color. and does a great haircut as well. I would recommend her to ALL!..

Just moved to the Spokane area. Finding a new stylist can be daunting. Thankfully I found Melanie! She was very friendly AND responsive to my idea of what I wanted for my hair. She gave me ideas and offered suggestions that were PERFECT for me! I will no longer be worried about finding a new stylist! Thanks Mel!

I was in Spokane on business and thought I’d treat myself to a pedi. Amanda came in special to accommodate my schedule and gave me an amazing and relaxing pedicure. I’ll be back when I’m next in Spokane and will tell my business associates as well.

I found this salon with a «living social» coupon deal for a mani/​pedi for $ 29 — an amazing deal and good introduction to a new salon.
It is located almost downtown on Sprague — past the rather shady area of east Sprague which makes a difference. They don’t have a parking lot, but plenty of street parking on the side streets or behind the building.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in and hardly had time to look around before my stylist came to get me. The building is an interesting older one with quirky rooms, steps and areas — but I found it to be charming.
For my pedicure, it was a comfortable cushioned chair and a basin with stones. I like this a bit, but it does make you lift your leg up past a comfortable level and seems to be uncomfortable for the gal doing the treatment as she had to hold my foot on her knee — but it worked out alright. And she was perfect for my taste — Jennifer only talked when I did and was quiet otherwise instead of rambling on as so many technicians seem to do.
Great treatment with all the usuals and a wonderful massage — the best part!
The manicure was at a traditional table with soaking, filing, buffing and painting. Oh and cuticle removal — thank goodness!
I had also requested a bang trim — which she did for FREE! Apparently, that is always the deal. How nice and what a treat!
Definently worth the drive downtown — even though it was Hoofest weekend! They also do facials, massage and permanent makeup.
Oh, and their online booking system was awesome! No playing phone tag. You just select your service and treatment and it tells you what stylists are available and what time. Once you book, you get a confirmation and then a reminder closer to your date. Very cool!

I have finally found a real hair stylist! It’s been too long! Melanie finally got the perfect shade of red that I’ve always wanted. Everywhere I’ve gone they make it too red, or «purply». Melanie knows my style and leaves my hair so friggin soft! No one has EVER been able to straighten my hair or make it look awesome. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
