Smoked barbecue and chicken at it’s best the hand cut fries are also great. but the hush puppies are to die for. love the décor saved an old building and turned it into a little museum well worth a visit the type of place that will keep you coming back.

Some time has passed, and we’ve eaten at Fat Tracy’s a few more times. We’ve had the pulled pork sandwich and it’s very good. This is one of my favorite local places to eat. They have a couple of beer brands that they sell for $ 1.00 per beer. Very friendly and attentive service. They do accept reservations for large groups, and I recommend making a reservation for groups.

Okay. This is a Triple D kind of place. Diner-dive. But … They know how to smoke pork and chicken. If you want excellent barbecue this is your place. The bbq basket at lunch is only $ 6.95 and includes a huge sandwich loaded with pulled pork, hand cut fries, white or red slaw, and a drink. Definitely some of the best bbq around not made in our own smoker!

If you value your taste buds, DONOT Eat HERE! The Philly cheese steak has freakin velvetta cheese on it. The ribs have no taste but salt brine and they must buy the cheapest cut of meats. We asked if they have a sweet sauce because their vinegar sauce sucks and they brought us a bottle of sweet baby rays. The Texas toast seems to be from Illinois, dry no flavor. From now on we walk past and go straight to barleys tap room.

Nothing special. Decent portions and price, but lacks flavor, especially the sauce. Mediocre service, weird décor/atmosphere. Won’t be back.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. The slow smoked ribs on Friday nights are my favorite

I was not impressed by Fat Tracy’s… walking up to it, it smelled delicious. Turns out, they lure you in with an empty smoker on the sidewalk. The pulled pork itself was actually good, but me and my crew believe that BBQ distinguishes itself by its sauce. The sauce at Fat Tracy’s was not pleasing to my palette; in an indescribable way. It was red sauce, but it lacked any substantive, identifiable flavors. It was thin, but not watery. It smelled like ketchup, but didn’t have a ketchup flavor. It may have been a red vinegar sauce(which, admittedly, I do not care for vinegar sauces). There were limited traditional BBQ options: pulled pork, ribs, and a «3 pig» which was pulled pork, bacon, and chopped ham. Other than that, the menu is sandwiches, burgers, and the like. There was no brisket, no pulled or BBQ chicken. The fries were good; fresh cut and yummy! and the beer is cheap. Beyond that, I wasn’t impressed and doubt I will return.

Fat Tracy’s has quickly become a favorite of ours when we are in town and need to grab something to eat. The staff is kind, the food is great, and the prices(especially on the daily specials) are great. It is the best restaurant of its kind in Rutherford County. If you are in the area I highly encourage you to try them out.

We just moved to the area from Asheville, where most food is the best ever, and were delighted with this little place! It was very clean, yummy not too sweet sweet-tea, and the best burger I’ve had in WNC. It was just a simple burger, but my-oh-my did I enjoy it. Hubby had a delicious pulled pork sandwich, the pork was nice and sweet, not dry at all. So happy this place is here!

What can I say??! This place serves just plain GREAT southern good-to-ya food!!! We ordered onion petals, fried pickles(the ABSOLUTE best I have ever eaten), a grilled pimento cheese sandwich & a fried bologna sandwich(I know, don’t judge & go all health crazy on me… this is good eats!!) and sweeeeeet tea. This is the comfort food you dream of when you’re traveling. I wish we didn’t live 7.5 hours away. Oh so very happy that we drove through this little town & found Tracy’s :)
