This gym used to have my respect, but since they«sold out» and turned into a corporate, Planet Fitness-like atmosphere, so to speak it has really gone down hill. They ship senior citizens in busses from a local nursing home to raise the volume of memberships, and since then the seniors complain that the upbeat music«gives them headaches» so I’m told. So now the real gym-goers are resigned to lift weights and run to twangy country music. I was even tricked by staff into thinking the dreadfully slow music, that I’d rather take a Xanax to, was temporary and renewed for three months. Then a week later I asked for 1⁄3 of my money back to take my business elsewhere; this resulted in pretty hostile words from management. I ended up skipping a song, about beer and trucks on a Friday night, on their ipod one day and a very masculine female manager approached me in a pretty malicious fashion. She then proceeded to get in my face and yell«AREWEGOINGTOHAVE A PROBLEM, GETOUTOFMYFACE!»; when she was the one facilitating the interaction looking like John J. Rambo’s older sister. I gave the staff ample time to apologize and even asked the owner to contact me, in which neither was done. It saddens me to have to write this review, but management of this facility is really out of touch with the core members that frequent it to make real and visible strength/endurance gains. So if you’re serious about your fitness would not recommend, but if you’re going just to lie to yourself that walking on a treadmill once a week for an hour will somehow make you aesthetically less depressing, by all means this is your place!

I’ve been satisfied with my fitness membership here thus far. The facility has indoor tennis courts but I’m not a player so I stick to the gym. There are two levels of fitness equipment, a decent sized studio for exercise classes and a separate spin room. The locker rooms are alright; I really like the modern fitness pictures that hang on the walls and the showers remodeled. There is a nursery and vending area. All in all fits my needs. Great location if you live in Sparta or the surrounding area.

A very filthy gym with absolutely no effort in maintaining the equipment. Front desk people friendly. Owner does not care about complaints. This week all of us(4) gave notice that we are dropping out. Locker rooms are nasty could never imagine showering there. Indoor tennis courts are ok but disinterested instructor(older male) borderline rude. Do yourself a favor find a better and cleaner gym. Top dollar monthly also.

Really amazing place to work out as everything is kept in tip top shape! They have yoga and other fitness classes that will suit just about anyone. They also have spinning and really intensive tennis matches. If you have kids bring em’ :) the day care is right near the front desk!
