What can I say? Once again I succumbed to JIB massive advertising in regard the new crispy jalapeño! If there had been crispy jalapeño in my sandwich, things could have been better! Just as in my first review of several months ago, we were served an anemic burger, this time on a cool looking bun(that and the romaine lettuce) nearly saved the day, nearly! It was a ¼ pounder with vague remnants of jalapeños on the center of a 50cent size piece of orange mystery sauce! Contrary to the advertising there was what amounted to about 6 small shreds of jalapeño that if reassembled would make two round pieces of one inch diameter or so, but no pickled pieces at all? This for $ 4.99 I was so pissed off that I stopped off at McDonalds. I purchased their jalapeño double for two bucks, it had jalapeños and it was smoking hot! Just the way I like it! It had peppers, both fried and pickled! No fancy bun, no romaine lettuce no mystery orange sauce, but lots of jalapeños! We have tried all of the major chains and the Jack is by far the very worst, even below the $ 2.00MD! With the Carl’s Jr Tex Mex being fantastic in both the 1⁄3 and ½ pound size. After a bad experience at another food vendor, we decided to just go to JIB. We walked in and stood for 2 – 3 minutes before one of the 6 people in the back area came out to take our to go order which was repeated back to us correctly. We then waited and waited, while more and more people came in. I went to the counter and stood there for about 5 minutes before anyone even made eye contact, but then was immediately told they were just waiting on fries, after appx. 10 minutes? Finally we were presented with with 3 bags, and I will freely admit I know better, we took them and left. Once home we discovered we were missing 1 sandwich, the most expensive one, and the fries we waited for were the wrong kind. Call them… hahahaha, and I was seriously in no mood to drive back so they made $ 7ish off of me last night. Lesson learned(again)
