Great shoe repair! He had my boots ready slightly later than he said he would, but he does nice work.

This place of business was not very professional, I was told my boots would be ready on Tuesday, no specific time was on my pick up slip! Just Tuesday, so I went late in the day to pick them up and I was told they wouldn’t be ready until later in the day? I was two hours before they close? How much later did he want me to pick them up? I hour before he closed, so I had to wait 1 hour! Very inconvenient for me. I would not be back! And I would not recommend this place to any of my friends.

I will never go to this shop again. I went once, years ago, to get some boots resoled. he did a GREAT job, had it done when he said he would, and the price was what I expected. two weeks ago, I took a different pair of boots in here. The owner told me to come back a week from friday(last friday) and they would be ready by the time I was off work. I show up, he has not even started on them. Tells me to come back the next day, or Monday. I ask him if he can FORSURE have them ready by 3pm Monday. The ownder says«sure, no problem» I come in today, he acts like he does not know me, does not know which boots are mine. I give him my claim ticket, and he goes«oh, THOSE… it’s going to be at least an hour more» The boot soles were not what he said I was going to get, the boots fit like they are a size smaller, and when I picked them up, he would not even look at me. I am seriously thinking of taking them somewhere else to see if he butchered them or not… I give this place 2 stars only because of the first experience I had. I expect better service for payment in advance, and verbal assurances of service and quality.

I usually go to Sparks Cleaners for all my sewing needs. They suggested Guy’s N Doll’s for a repair on a leather shoe buckle that my daughter’s 1.5 yr old Beagle decided to have a little snack on. They are one of my favorite pair of shoes and I spent almost 100 bucks on them just last year. You have to pay when you first drop off the shoe, which made me a little nervous. but since he quoted 19.95 I figured, what the heck. When I went to pick up my shoe 2 days later a lady in front of me did not seem so happy as she rolled her eyes at me.(She seemed a little hard to please IMHO) I had left the good shoe so they would have something to compare to. I was happy with the repair and will go back there again, should the little Beagle decide to chew up another pair of expensive shoes.

Did a great job on my 5″ heel boots in under an hour the day before holiday!

I have had several boots repaired here, from small modifications to complete resole jobs. They did very well, always to my request. I have recommended several folks go here as well, but have heard complaints of the prices. I feel they are reasonable for having to take a shoe or boots apart, but others may not. I would expect $ 70 and up for a new sole and heel, depending on the work.
