A bit expensive for lobster — go to the marina around 3pm and ask a lobsterman If you can buy fresh! But a good place for clams and oysters.

The bf and I bought live lobsters here to take back to NJ for a surprise Father’s Day feast with my family. It came recommended by locals. They survived the 2 day trip (since we also did a stopover in Ogunquit to break up the drive– packing 5 lobsters, including one 4lber — in a tiny mini-​fridge) — we packed the lobsters well (make sure not to have them directly touching the ice, and also not to get any water on them), and they happily survived, until they were cut in half and put on the grill.
They were definitely cheaper than eating at the Bar Harbor restaurants, a bit more expensive than the whole sale lobster place next door (but when we tried grilling the out of season softshell lobsters, the meat was mushy even though they were still alive before grilling), and I think equivalent to prices in supermarkets in the DMV area (though you definitely cannot find a 4lber in those tanks).
