Wagging Tails Pet Sitting & Mobile Grooming

We’re also glad we found a at home service. (The alternative was a horrible experience.) We’ve used wagging tails numerous times with good results. The dogs are happy with no phycological stress (or changes to them), or not foul smelling. We were given daily snap shots of them to our delight.

I’ve used the sitting service a few times now, and so happy we found this service! We’ve always had family be able to sit, but with life business we had to start using kennel, which we hated for our English Bulldog, as she always came home sick, and would be like that for days or weeks!
Wagging Tails has been amazing. I was as reluctant as the next guy about someone coming into my home. i had a million questions before the «interview» and was even reluctant thereafter. We went away for an extended vacation in summer and wanted our girl resting at home in the A/​C, so we gave it a shot, as my parents still were able to stop by periodically.
I have to say, Lisa is amazing. i haven’t met her, but while out on vacation she sent pictures and updates via text, and it made us really happy and comfortable. A detailed description of her time during the visit for each day when we returned, only let us believe we didnt give our Bulldog enough attention, and probably was a little upset we came home haha. But seriously it gave us more comfort.
Weve asked for Lisa as our regular caregiver, as Mystic is about 9 yrs old now, she will have the familiarity, and comfort as well. We have a few other future visits already booked, and wont ever need to worry about kennels again! while its a few extra $$ a day we have so much less to worry about.

Called about two weeks ago for an appointment for my senior dog. Was given information on services and told they could meet the needs of my dog who has a very hard time with his back legs. My appointment was today and began right on time. Met with Luis who was very friendly. Oddly my dog that does not like men was immediately in Luis’ face to greet him. Great start. As I said, my dog has a very hard time with his hind legs and knowing this, and the fact my dog has never been professionally groomed, I was more than willing to lend a hand. Luis was super patient and gentle with my boy. Definitely pleased with the service and will call again. Thanks so much!

Louis did a fine job on our cat, who is quite sensitive to vet or grooming visits. We had the lion cut done and our cat seems happy with it. This was the first time I have used the service.

I’m a first-​time pet owner and I’ve never had any of my boys professionally groomed. My H and I have bathed, brushed (teeth and fur), clipped nails, etc for each of my pets since being adopted (over seven years ago).
Anyhow, after calling the answering service, I received a sorta/​kinda rude voicemail response saying that this company does not travel outside of Central Connecticut for services. (For what’s it worth, I specifically stated in my voicemail that I am a current resident of West Hartford– although the area code from my cell phone says otherwise), but if I lived in Connecticut, the company would be more than happy to accommodate my needs. Blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I live in West Hartford. My correspondence with the company has since then been much better. The scheduling is somewhat «ehh» because the mobile van services a number of areas, but it’s never too difficult finding a time that works for each party.
Anyhow, I was very nervous getting Otie groomed. but alas, it needed to happen! I had a 1:30pm appointment for my middle furbabe and was running on-​time (like I usually like to– haha). So when the scheduler called and told me that the groomer was at my home at 1:16, I jetttttted home as soon as I could. The groomer, Luis, was so incredibly kind and was very complacent waiting for Otie and myself. Luis told me cat grooming usually takes ~30−45 minutes depending on how crazy the cat is. Honestly, I was thinking it would take an hour’s time because my cat CRIES. So when Luis calls me in a half hour’s time telling me that Otie is finished, I was ecstatic. I came down and checked out his cool new ‘do and loved it!
The cost of grooming wasn’t AS bad as I initially thought. It IS an investment, but it’s something my H and I are interested in investing for future grooming.

Wow, i am shocked at the bad review posted on here. I’ve been a client since 1999 and I have NEVER had a bad experience. I have 2 dogs and 5 cats (1 of which requires medication), and WT has been there for them every single time! I had a minor issue once (my fault), in the initial interview I’d asked them to leave a certain light on, and subsequently got timers and forgot to tell the sitter not to worry about alternating lights, so they did as was told and alternated lights, which screwed up the timers (again, my fault for neglecting to leave a note stating otherwise). When I got home, I called the office to tell them of the change, and the girl on the phone put me on hold, and I was immediately connected to the owner, who apologized profusely for the mix up, even though I assured her it was my error. I’ve had last minute emergencies (when I went into labor), and called the office on a Saturday afternoon and received a call within an hour letting me know that my message had been received and my «critters» would be visited! it’s amazing to call a business and once mentioning my name, they know who I am and what I need.
I would recommend WT to anyone! My pets are almost disappointed when I come home and their visits with the sitters are over! not to mention, the sitters always go beyond the call of duty and do little things to make me feel that my pets, and my home were being well cared for! (Pups had some accidents in the crate and the sitter laundered the blankets that were in there!)
I never had to pay in advance, i paid for the initial interview for a sitter to come out and meet my critters and get all their info, and I had the option of leaving a check or a cc number.
As with any service, I’d suggest not just relying on one review, but a) asking around, and b) taking into consideration the amount of time the company has been around.
Anyone can have a spotless record after being in business for a short time with limited clientele, but to be around as long as WT has been, and have only a couple naysayers, I’d be quick to dismiss the naysayers… besides, my vet recommends them, and if you can’t trust your vet, then why are you taking your pets there?

Terrible! Used them a few years ago and you have to pay up front and they did not show up to let out my dog. When I called to complain, was told there was no refund and would not let me speak to the owner to complain. I didn’t realize others were experiencing the same issues with this service until I started to ask around. Buyers beware. there are other services available that are reputable.
