History

Established in 2007.

For Weaves Only was Michigan’s first all weaving studio located in Southfield, Michigan. The Owner and Master Stylist Lauren had a vision for a salon where clients could get the highest quality and best service at an affordable price in timely fashion. To minimize the hours women spend in the salon, we evaluated the market to pin point why salon visits were so lengthy. After our research we discovered a more successful way to systematically schedule by decreasing prep time and utilizing a new innovative braiding and sewing technique. Although the new method is quicker we are not compromising the quality or construction of the weave. We also chose to eliminate the washing and drying process so that the client is ready for braiding as soon as they arrive. Our process and atmosphere uniquely differs from other salons because we have adapted a no waiting policy therefore the we maintain a private and relaxing experience for each client.

Meet the Business Owner

Lauren B.

Business Owner

Lauren is the owner and Master Stylist at For Weaves Only. At the tender age of 26 she had a vision. Although she was raised in a family full of hair stylist, it was not her dream to become one. She would often do friends and family’s hair and soon realized she could not escaper her calling, so she decided to go into business for herself and specialize in what she did best which was sew in weaves. After the recession she chose to decrease her prices to make weaves more affordable therefore increasing the frequency in which clients could afford to return. In 2007 she open her studio in a space with just 160sqft and two chairs. She invited her mother to come work with her. By 2008 she had out grown that space and moved up to 500sqft and the next year 1500 sqft. Currently many people have tried to duplicate what she started but have yet to prove the quality and precision that she is notorious for.
