I come here only a few times a year but the waiter always makes a point of welcoming me back and asking about my kids which I think is a nice touch. It’s your basic Chinese food experience, they have a buffet certain days and that’s always been good as well. The bar is always busy with locals, it seems like a place a lot of people meet when they are off work. Tonight the crab rangoons were SO fresh, the dough was like butter. I’ve never had a bad experience with either food or service here and I’ve been coming here for about a decade so I thought I should give it the 5 star review it deserves.

Order take out from this place once and i don’t think that i will go back again. The food don’t have much flavor. The hot and sour soup is neither hot or sour. Chicken wings are oily and they are not seasoning enough. The noodle dish that i ordered also tasted like someone just put soy sauce on and nothing else. It’s too bad that this is the closest Chinese restaurant in Southborough.

I have only had take out — the food is good but nothing to write home about. It’s close to work so we go often, so I would say it’s a nice treat but I’ve certainly had better. The ambiance is pretty typical of a casual chinese restaurant.

Went here tonight with three friends and had a great time! We were greeted and seated immediately as we walked in the door. Our server Brian was extremely friendly and very attentive. Our drinks came out quick as well as our food. Everything was great and we will definitely come back. Thanks for the great service and food!

To start, I’m giving 3 ½ stars. The food has always been good. We only have ever had take out, and everyone knows Chinese food is better when eaten right away! Service was on point and the food is always ready when I get there. My one beer I have when I pick up the food is ice cold, and they put my keno ticket right in. Places seems to be clean and there is plenty of parking.

I have been coming here for many years. Overall I give this restaurant four stars because the food is good, the prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly. We are rarely disappointed in the food quality. Traditional American Chinese fare, nothing fancy here, but always tasty. My personal favorites here include: General Gaos Chicken, the Pork Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, and the Egg Rolls. The restaurant is clean and never crowded. They apparently do a big take out and bar business here. Brian, the resident waiter, is terriffic. He ALWAYS remembers what each of us had to drink last time we were at the restaurant. I don’t know how he does it, but it’s a nice touch!

We went back to this place after not ordering from there for a year or so. It has gone very much downhill since then. The food was nearly inedible. No flavor, so much oil that in some cases there seemed to be more oil than food. So sorry as staff there are always nice to us and the restaurant is quite near our house.

This is a great place! We are regulars here and have become very friendly with the bartender, King. He remembers your favorite drinks and is always personable. The food is great — try the hot and sour soup, the Peking ravioli, the sesame chicken and the lettuce wraps!

There food is ok. The delivery times are really fast. The food always is steaming hot when it arrives. They are very accommodating when it comes to substitutions. Over all they are pretty good.

This is a wonderful local favorite of ours. Consistently good food, and GREAT Mai Tai’s! I honestly can say this is the best Chinese food restaurant in all of the boro’s and Ashland.

Really fast delivery, but that is the only plus about this restaurant. I’ve never seen so much grease in Chinese food.

Delivery to Southborough was fast. Friendly and courteous. If you want utensils and paper plates, make sure you request it. I forgot and it it wasn’t in there. Food was OK.

Unbelievably fast delivery. I swear their must read our minds before we order. They say 30 – 40 minutes, we get it in 15 minutes max! I’ve had delivered to my house 10+ times and the driver is always very nice and pleasant. The food is ok, good typical American Chinese food.

Decent buffet. This is a tiny out of the way restaurant so it tends to be slow. The food is good and is usually fresh. They know it doesn’t get busy so they keep small portions at the buffet because of this the food stays fresh. The waiter is always nice and remembers me. If you are close by, give it a try for lunch.

I have had Rose Garden deliver to my home 3 times. Their delivery is fast, and the driver is always nice. The food is good, basic Chinese take out. Ingredients always seem fresh. Moo Shi has too much cabbage(last time, I could barely see any pork in it at all). Their Hot and Sour soup is good, and so is their Chicken and Broccoli. Overall, a safe, reasonably priced option for take out.

Open mike review: The Rose Room Revue is held on Thursday’s at 7:30pm in the upstairs of the Rose Garden. Matt Lindy is the host. He’s very friendly and supportive and the room is ‘cozy’. It’s not really a performance space, but a dining room being borrowed. It works well enough. Folkies. There is a feature act that plays at 9pm, and a pass-the-hat style cover. Over-all it’s a good open mike, with acts getting 15 – 20 minutes each. The night’s I’ve been were not too crowded, but it may be getting tighter(it’s been a while). It’s not hard to find someone to sit in with you. Sometimes, an open jam breaks out at the end of the night. Matt’s great, you should get to know him. He’s a wealth of info.

It’s a Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, but a little bit sterile. There is something missing. The lunch buffet is above your average cheap Chinese restaurant in quality, but also nothing to write home about. Essentially, I’ve come here a few times because it’s close to work, and its the best of a few OK, but not spectacular options.
