My family and I have gone to Dr. Donahue for at least 20 years. She is awesome! She makes you feel very comfotable. Just a great dentist with a great support staff.

Words can not describe how much I love this doctor. She is patient and straight to the point. You can tell she loves her job and knows her stuff.
I hope she is my dentist and my daughter dentist for a long time!

Our family has been with Dr. Donahue for many many years now & she & her staff are the greatest ! She is the most gentle dentist I have ever been to. I never come out of her office hurting. Everyone is always friendly & always on time.

My first visit was a rush referral and I was very professional received, heard and shared in the consultation for the procedure… a very gentle touch and… NO PAIN… would not hesitate to recommend or return again.

I went in to fix a chip in my front teeth that had been causing me some discomfort while brushing. Tina carefully explained what might’ve caused the chip and what consequences they might have on the tooth. After reviewing X-​rays and eliminating the worst possible diagnosis, we figured it was just a small chip that needed fixing, so she filled in the chip with composite material. The tooth looks like new, and my discomfort while brushing has gone away. Both Tina and her staffer were friendly and they recommended some of their favorite local restaurants since I was new to the area. I’ll definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a dendist don’t go to Tina Donahue’s office! She is very expensive and like to over charge for procedures that you do not need! And she is very pushy! She talks you into getting things, like a sleep guard that wasn’t needed, and very expensive! This was done to a family member. She recommended it and took a mold of her mouth for it, «just in case». And she siad it was covered by insurace, but wasn’t! And Dr. Donahue was told not to proceed if it wasn’t covered. But it still went thruogh and now we get to pay full price with no insurace! and same type of thing happened to my husband! The Dr. over charging for things «recomended» that we didn’t agree on! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!

It was a bit confusing to schedule dentist appointment with Thomas Factor and then get Tina Donahue. Luckily, the staff is friendly and flexible to accommodate a range of requests including last minute appointments and replacements for temporary crowns that are free-​of-​charge provided you come back to get the crown.
Tina is personable with a go-​getter attitude to fix things. She worked on a nearby cavity next to my tooth that needed a root canal before consulting me because it she felt it was needed even though my previous dentist didn’t think so. Although I was not comfortable with her decision that doesn’t enable me to plan how to maximize the use of my dental coverage within its limits, I appreciated the interim solution to ensure my teeth don’t rot after the root canal until my insurance covers a crown and more. Tina Donahue is the only saving grace for this practice given her expertise. However, there is a tendency to perform extra services (e.g., neighboring tooth for a root canal) that are not asked for without permission or an explanation.
The staff is rude and unresponsive to requests. For example, a staff member wasted my time by demanding for an apology when the cell phone reception was disconnected instead of answering my request for a receipt or record of the services done or providing the contact info for the appropriate person.
I can see why some of the reviewers are unsatisfied. At times, you may feel pressured to come back with hints that they’ll withhold information from other dentists to follow up accordingly or else they won’t provide the complimentary service. However, they are willing to look into options to ensure your dental health and needs are met in part because they are a business who also understands your financial constraints, such as work schedules and dental coverage limits for the year. Nonetheless, the person didn’t understand my request and responded with a generic email. Like most dental experiences, it can start out rough and become more polished over time.
Unfortunately, they did charge my insurance twice for the same bill. Moreover, they charged me what should have been covered within my dental limit, which is a violation of their contract with my insurer. Thus, I’m trying to sort these bills out with them now.

Really enjoy going to Dr. Donahue. Makes going to the dentist pleasant. Staff is awesome — very caring & helpful. One of my crowns fell out & they got me in right away & I was all fixed up — just like new again! Awesome! Thanks!

Went in for a routine cleaning and she got me out of there in no time! Didn’t feel like a rushed procedure either! (which I’ve experienced before at a UC dental clinic) Dr. Donahue took the time to get to know me and we chatted a bit about celebrity gossip, living in southern California, among other things.
The staff was friendly too! They helped me with any insurance questions and were very helpful in calling the insurance company to find out all my benefits.
Overall, great experience. I scheduled for a filling and will update on the procedure.

Their office is very aggresive in collecting money from the patient. I was charged a late payment fee while they were waiting to get paid by my insurance. I also have double dental insurance and they doubled billed my two insurances and got over paid!
Check your bill also to make sure that you are billed for the right service!

So… I’ve been seeing Dr. Donohue for a couple years now. I visisted 3 dentists before choosing her, because at the time I was with cigna dental ppo and she was in network and affordable, and seemed the best fit and had an endodontist in her office which I needed as I was told I had 4 tooth canals instead of the normal 3, and the other dentists had refused to work on me for that reason. I have to say, that Dr. Donohue and her staff are very friendly… I have no complaints about that. However… beyond that I’m not sure what to say. I had a root canal done by an Endo she was contracted with in her office. Xrays were done, and neither Dr. Donohue nor the Endo could find the alleged 4^th root in my tooth. The root canal was done, a crown made made and I was sent on my way. The first day I had the crown. high noble metal covered in porcelain, it cracked… so I went back and paid $ 200 extra for a gold one. The Dr. was great about taking care of me with the new one. However. before I went in I mentioned how the tooth that needed treatment was having infection issues, as it was previously treated by the pacific dental school in SF, and to make sure to keep that into account. After my crown was finished I kept having tooth pain, that lasted quite awhile, and ever since Ive had chronic sinus infections on the side of my face the upper molar that was treated, was on. I mentioned this to Dr. Donohue who told me she wasnt qualified to diagnose or deal with that issue and was completely dismissive of me when I mentioned it, that it was even a possibility. A year later and about 10 sinus infections past, the crown fell off, and I went back in to get it glued back on, as well as get 6 cavities filled out of pocket. It put me back about $ 800.00. Since then a couple of the fillings have fallen out, and Im still getting sinus infections on that side. My doctor told me it most definitely was related and I should get the tooth pulled. I had called Dr. Donohue several times about the issue and she was nice enough to offer to pay for another visit to an endo (she has a new one now) to look at it… tho any treatments would be out of my pocket. I was late in getting back to her on it, and it ended up not working out because of distance and scheduling. Some of it was my fault, but I feel that had she listened to me from the beginning this issue could have been resolved. I reccomend seeing her with caution and if she doesnt listen and consider what you have to say, go elsewhere asap!

I’ve had Dr. Donahue as my dentist for as long as I can remember, and even though I’ve moved out of the Bay Area, I’ve still kept her as my dentist because of the great experience I’ve had as one of her patients. I’ve never had a bad experience at her office and her staff is friendly, helpful, and professional.

I have been going to Dr. Donahue since forever, she is excellent. Blanca the dental assistant is very careful when cleaning teeth and not putting you through too much pain. The whole office is very nice and helpful. Dr. Donahue gets rid of any fear of going to the dentist, very caring and does not try to do extra things you do not need. She is the best.

I had a positive experience. Dr. Donahue saw me on short notice, free initial consultation, and then didn’t try to up-​sell me any unnecessary dental work. Cost was very reasonable, and the office staff is smart and polite. I didn’t have any major work done. The receptionist was nice and pretty, they should give her a raise.

I am writing this from Dr. Donahue’s office because I don’t have a computer. She is a kind, caring person with great skills as a dentist. I look forward to my visits. I had a sensitive tooth due to a large filling that I needed (I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 3 years) and rather than refer me to a root canal doctor, she told me to wait a bit… that these usually resolve themselves… and it did. She saved me the cost of a root canal by reassuring me and monitoring the tooth. I figure I saved about $ 3000.00 by following her advice. My whole family goes here now.

Easy to find.
Went in for a cleaning and x-​rays, and I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 2 years, found out I need 2 fillings and I guess the Dentist who did my root canal didn’t put a cap on it so made another date for that.

Dr. Donahue is very friendly as is her staff. And yes, her office is clean. At first, we thought she was great. Then, all three of us in our family got fillings (at separate times). We all had similar side affects. Our teeth were so sore that we could not chew with the tooth that had been filled. Dr. Donahue told us that this happens and could last up to six months. It has been over one year for me, and my tooth has never been the same. The same goes for the other two in my family. She attempted to fix one person’s tooth in our family though it did not help. She also told me that I needed many more fillings. We no longer trust this doctor. How can we when my teeth have never been the same since?

I had my first appointment with Dr. Donahue and I was very impressed. My dad has been going to her for years so I decided to give her a try. The office is nice and very clean. She has a great attitude and is fun to go to. Normally I get really nervous at any kind of Dr. visits but she made me feel at ease and her assistants were great! I would definitely recommend her! She’ll work with you to help find the best plan for you!

After not seeing a dentist for a few years I switched insurances and selected Dr. Donahue. After my initial visit to take x-​rays and have a standard cleaning. I have nothing but wonderful things to say.
Dr. Donahue is loads of fun and professional at the same time. Its a small office where the team is friendly and consistent. Pretty easy to get an appointment, CLEAN, and convenient.
Have already started recommending friends to her and am looking forward to continued dental services at her practice.
