South San Francisco Orkin Pest & Termite Control

We have a 6 bedroom house and one of my roommates got bitten while he was sleeping so we decided to call Orkin. An inspector name Pram came and slightly glanced at our beds and walls and let us know we had a «mild infection of bed bugs». I asked him to send me pictures and he sent pictures of lint and so smears on the wall. This was my first time, so I believed him. He later quoted us $ 3,875 for the heat treatment and half for the chemical. I couldn’t believe the price so I decided to call Clark for a second opinion. They came the very next day and the guy said he wished we had bed bugs, but we don’t. I needed to confirm, so I sent Scent Tek to bring a K-​9 and they confirmed that we didn’t have bed bugs. I felt really angry that there are people out there that will cheat you like this. The problem with pest control companies is that if they use chemicals, then they need to provide evidence by law but if they heat treat our house then there’re not breaking the law. Please take my advice of warning and pay for the K-​9 inspection and NEVER use Orkin and beware if you’re dealing with a guy named Pram. I’m seriously thinking about finding a way so that he can’t scam anyone else.

Called regarding a ant problem and got a pitch for a ongoing maintenance program, costing about $ 600 a year. Told them I wasn’t interested and hung up. Received a call back 15 minuets later with another option, but then they basically said it wouldn’t work. They are about as persistent as my ants!
Made an appointment and will see what they have to say.
If it takes $ 600 to get rid of my ants, I’ll live with them! They wouldn’t even bother me if they didn’t leave piles of dirt on my steps.
