IKB Stone Kitchen & Bath

IKB Stone was professional, timely, and on budget. Great fabrication of kitchen counters. I would use them again.

First, the good news. The finished product was very well done. The person who did the measuring and those who did the installation did a really good job. Now, the bad. We had a contact person who NEVER communicated. The only way we could find out their schedule was to work through the receptionist. Fortunately, she knew what was going on. Would we use them again? Good question. We got them through Ikea. If we were doing the work otherwise, probably not.

Good service and team of people. They fabricated and installed new granite counters in my kitchen and bathrooms and everything looks great!

I forget the name of the two guys that helped me, but they were extremely professional and they devoted a lot of time looking at granite with me. They had already installed the granite in my kitchen (working with the contractor that build my condo) and I only needed a few smaller pieces this time. They remembered exactly which stone have they used originally, and dug until they found sister pieces, left in their inventory. They cut the pieces for me, and, since I declined to have them install it, they offered me the glue that I needed. They are excellent and I plan to use them again.

Definitely excellent honest professional work done on our kitchen counter quartz counter top installation. And their price was well below the other quotes we received from competitive supliers. Definitely would call them again.

Chris was a wonderful consultant and Hanus was a great project manager for my bathroom remodel. Everything was done to very high quality standards, on time, and with frequent updates. I was happy with the work of everyone on the team and the final result is great. A huge thanks to everyone involved!

We’ve worked together with IKB Stone on a number of projects and their designers have a great eye for putting something beautiful together. They’ve put together a wide range of projects from to mid to high end and from traditional to modern. Each time they were friendly, knowledgeable and did good work.

Please be careful before engaging IKB Stone and Kitchen as you contractor. I had a horrible experience with them and would welcome reference phone calls to discuss it. They encouraged us not to pull permits for our bathroom remodel in San Francisco. We insisted. It cause at least a three to four week delay as they were not familiar with the codes.
We chose them because they said they only used their employees and did not use subs. We rarely saw the same people, their work was horrible and shotty, and the workers helped themselves to my tools to perform their work. I literally came home to find a day laborer who had gone into my garage and pulled my ladder, my extension cords, my work light, and more.
The grout on or stone was two different colors and had to be torn out and redone threes times. Never any notes or instructions for whomever they sent over. The owner at one point said he had fired one of his workers and that he thought he had «sabotaged» the job. The owner managed our job and never kept a punch list. He got things wrong over and over and had zero sense quality. Horrible experience!!!

Contractor’s License 968 406 has been suspended. Be careful before you sign with this company. They come in and give all kinds of promises of the work they can do and then don’t deliver. If you want something you have to watch what they do. Have everything in writing as verbal communications do not count with them. An example of this is I ordered closets, sent them a design, they never discussed what they were going to do, I came home and they were Home Depot special closets. Not only that but when I complained my hangers would not pull out, they said buy new ones. Who’s the client? Basic work is good, but finishing leaves something to be desired.

I am very pleased with the follow-​up work IKB Stone Kitchen & Bath has performed for me since the renovation they did on my studio. IKB has added lighting, a complete closet build-​in, and replaced my toilet. Efficient, prompt and done to my satisfaction. I highly recommend.

This place is not open on Saturday like the website says so don’t make the drive unless you have an appt.

I went to IKB a few years ago when I was remodeling my bathroom and I met Esmeraldo. He was very knowledgeable about granite and helped me pick out the perfect piece. I’ve since been back twice to complete my other two bathrooms and kitchen. The staff is friendly and responsive. They really take pride in what they do and it shows in the results. They also clean up when they are done. I definitely recommend them.

We contracted with Imperial to do our granite countertops because our next door neighbors had the company remodel their kitchen about three years ago. We were replacing the tile we put in 15 years ago. We worked with Esmeraldo Santos, the sales person there, who was a great communicator. He kept us apprised of everything and was helpful in guiding us through the slab selection process, which can be really involved when you discover the enormous variety of granite out there.
The only glitch occurred when two of his workers got the flu just as the demolition was to occur. He let us know immediately that there would be a delay and we worked through an understandable situation. Once demo was over, the team got the granite installed very quickly. Using their skills, the fabricators were able to cut the granite into as few pieces as possible, so there was only one seam. Also, due to Esmeraldo’s experience, we were able to use only two slabs on what could have taken three, which saved us money.
In all, the job came in slightly above the estimate, but that was because of some custom work that had to be done on our window.
One thing I liked was that the workers always showed up on time, which was very important because of my and my wife’s erratic work schedules.
The overall workmanship and fabrication is excellent. You won’t get a rock bottom estimate from this company but given the professionalism and quality of their work, there were literally none of those «OMG» moments when you wonder whether you made the right decision or not. Given what granite countertops add to a kitchen’s value, I feel we got a fair deal.

I had two-​and-​a-​half bathrooms gutted and remodeled. These guys were great! I worked with Chris who did the design and helped me with most of the decisions as I was rather overwhelmed. (Who knew there were so many toilets to choose from! Really?)
Great workmanship, got the job (s) done in a reasonable amount of time, and they worked w/​in my budget.
I would DEFINITELY use them again!

We had Imperial remodel our Master Bath; new Granite walls, tile floor and shower pan. We HIGHLY recommend them. Esmeraldo took plenty of time (and patience) to help us pick out the granite, tile and fixtures. Umberto does excellent tile work and plumbing. All their employees are super friendly, courteous and work with a great attitude. They immediately followed up with any small «problems» we had, which were few.
I would and will recommend them in the future.

what can I say about imperial marble– we are neighbors and have been nice for 3 years after they stole our power for 4 years, and use our parking, even cut our lock to our water main (we were trying to get a call back for the thousands they owe us) Never have received one red cent. They’ve made so many shifty promises wouldn’t even know where to start to describe them all. This is my first bad review.

I don’t understand the negatives (Alina) since my experience and remodel came out beautiful. I would and have recommended Imperial Marble to friends and others.
BTW, my Kitchen and bath look terrific!

My wife and I visited about 15 different places when looking for the perfect granite for our new kitchen. Our favorite by far was Imperial Marble. Pia Crudon really took the time to help me explore different stones, match them to my cabinet colors and even show me the in-​house fabrication department.
Probably more importantly, the team there spent time to work with my budget, even though I wanted something very custom that a lot of places told me was too difficult. Not only did we find a very unique stone there that we loved, but they were able to do the install in one week, instead of the 2 – 3 weeks all the other places quoted. The installers were prompt, gave me plenty of options for the sink layout, faucet holes and edging. The job looks beautiful and I am very happy!
I did ask about the past Unilocal review, but that was 3 years ago and Imperial Marble is under new management and has an entire new team.
If you want the custom high end look to fit your budget then go visit Imperial Marble, and ask for Pia Crudon. She did a great job for me!

We had our granite kitchen countertops fabricated by Imperial. Everyone & everything about Imperial is great! From Jeanne, to Rick, to Val, to Eli, to the installers… service was absolutely wonderful!
We would be considered as a high maintenance customer (sorry guys!)…we couldn’t make up our minds, and once we did, we changed our minds. They had to pull off our stone from production (almost twice!) because of our indecisiveness.
All throughout the process, they were all so patient and understanding. They made recommendations to better assist us in making the «right» decision, and really took the time to help us understand different areas of the process. They tried multiple possibilities to try and achieve what we wanted (which turned out to be impossible… again, high-​maintenance!!), but I appreciate that they went so out of their way to try every way possible to give us what we wanted.
They have a very clean and professional fabrication area, with the newest stone cutting and edging machines. We had a chance to see it in action. They have a small lot of granite to choose from, but they work with a large stone importer, so the selection is endless. They are also authorized to do Caesartone, Zodiac, Silestone, etc…
The templating and installation was perfect, and very professional. Rick did an awesome job with the template. The installers installed our countertops in about 2 – 3 hrs, and everything went smooth. The under-​mount sink and faucet holes where perfectly placed. There was a small chip on the granite (bar counter), but they where able to repair it, and it looks good as new.
I would highly recommend them for service alone. But after we had our countertops installed, I can also recommend them for the quality of their workmanship! The countertops are finally in and they look great! They also gave us an awesome price. Thanks to everyone @ Imperial, especially Jeanne!
