I have been practicing law since January 1972. I went to court in a criminal matter on the day after I was sworn in to practice law. Criminal defense is my forte, and I have tried cases from petty theft up to first degree murder. I am AV rated by Martindale-​Hubbell, and have been designated a «Super Lawyer.» I have a great deal of experience in «sex» crimes, such as child molestation and rape. I have had offices in various cities in the Northern end of San Mateo County, and have been in South San Francisco since 2003. I write wills and trusts, and will handle personal injury cases as well. I am well respected in the legal community, by judges and law enforcement. I have a sign hanging on the wall of my office that says «Honest Lawyer.» I look forward to working for you.

I am a sole practitioner with no office staff. I received my BA from U.C. Berkeley in 1968, and my JD degree from U.C. Hastings College of the Law in 1971. I am married and have three adult children. My oldest son is a film maker and musician-​song writer, in the band «The Sam Chase,» which has been voted the best band in San Francisco by SF Weekly readers. My next oldest son is a chef, now working in New York, but soon to move back to India where he has been awarded the distinction of being the Best Chef in India in 2012 and 2013. My daughter holds a law degree and works in development. My wife is an esthetician in San Francisco.
