Tahoe Tessies is a program designed to effectively teach the youth of Lake Tahoe efficient water skills.

We teach safety in AND out of the water.

Tessies campers will be broken up into 3 different groups according to age and/​or ability:

1) Little Dragons 4.9 — 7 years (Beg)

2) Dragons 8 – 11 years (Intermediate)

3) Big Dragons 12 – 15 (advanced)

History

Established in 2011.

Tahoe Tessies is an evolution of Summertime Surf School. Camp operater and co-​founder, Chris Stiegler, has been teaching and coaching kids to surf for 8 years since he started Summertime Surf School in 2005 (see www​.sum​mer​timesurf​.com). His partner, Cory Escobar of Escobar Training Grounds, has been teaching youth Karate for just as long. Tahoe Tessies Summer Camp is a blend of both their experience and skills.

Business Owner

Instructor, Maddie Bowman, is the 2012 womens Superpipe Silver Medalist, and Lake Tahoe’s Olympic hopeful.

Professional Surfer, Chris Stiegler, has lived and competed all over the world, most recently in Canary Islands, Spain where he was working for Quiksilver coaching the European National Team.

Black Belt and accomplished Kick Boxer, Cory Escobar, of Escobar Training Grounds runs the kids Karate program.
