We can prepare virtually anything for meals from brunch through dessert, 3 to 5 course wine pairing events, lunch on the go, cocktail hors d’oeuvres and extravagant holiday parties. Also featuring specialty desserts from bite size to multi-tiered cakes.

My Tahoe Chef is an evolution of culinary passion. Chef Julia, owner of My Tahoe Chef, began her work in the kitchen with a focus on pastries and dessert. Over time, that love for cooking transformed to encompass everything from dessert to global ethnic cuisines. The business opened in June 2013.

Business Owner
Chef Julia has a diverse background that hasn’t always included the culinary arts, outside of a passion for cooking at home. As an executive level marketer, Julia worked in the ski industry, hotel industry and casino industry before leaving it all behind and throwing caution to the wind. She attended culinary school several years prior to the inception of My Tahoe Chef, and has been an independent business owner previously with Indigo Events + Weddings, where she coordinated more than 25 weddings per year (mostly in the summer months). During culinary school, Chef Julia interned at local kitchens in South Lake Tahoe, working on special projects and while learning the basics behind a commercial kitchen environment. It was here that she decided that she wanted to become a personal chef — traveling from kitchen to kitchen, working with the tools provided (including her own cooking utensils, of course) and getting to know different people and their preferences.
