Monzo Speed

Ansel helped me put a mirror on my jeep wrangler after getting a fix it ticket. (My doors were stolen with the original side mirrors) Ansel got me in last minute was very professional and nice. He was fair in his price and my modified mirror hasn’t budged since he installed it. I will definitely go back when I need an oil change and fluids done on the jeep. Thanks again Ansel!

Ansel is the man if u have a subaru he is honest and won’t over charge u. I had a great experience at monzo. Would highly recommend him

the guys at monzo speed, also \known as Ansel motors, were very helpful and honest. they replaced my BCM and when i didnt have enough money to tow my car over 50 miles to get the BCM programmed, they, monzo speed, towed it for me using one of their AAA free tows… that was extremely nice&helpful and my car runs better than it did before. they deserve more business

Ansel is a friend of a friend and came recommended to help me with my Jeep Wrangler. My car was making a weird rattling noise sometimes and I thought it was a muffler issue. After quickly looking at my car he told me the muffler wasn’t the issue. He hopped in my car for a quick drive to see what I was talking about and within 10 minutes, found the problem and fixed it. Returned the muffler I bought and saved me a lot of money. Thanks Ansel!

I bought a cheap truck that needed a lot of work done on the engine and Ansel at Monzo Speed was the only one in South Lake Tahoe that wanted the work. I literally called every shop in Tahoe. Every other mechanic complained about the labor involved, or wanted to charge me an outrageous price knowing I would probably go somewhere else. Ansel is a fair and trustworthy mechanic who treats his customers with respect.
Just today my car wouldn’t start while I was at the store (2 blocks from his shop) and it was not jumping either. Ansel road his bike over and problem solved his way to finding the problem in the key ignition. A little while later it was fixed and I was on my way. I may have bought a crappy truck but at least I found the right mechanic.

I brought my 2000 Audi a6 2.7t into Monzo Speed. At the recommendation of some of the guys at Les Schwabe. I had the check engine light on, and the car was hesitating badly. Ansel the owner replaced the abs computer, the o2 sensors and the spark plug/​coil pack. We took the car on a long trip the very next day and it ran strong, like it did years ago. Ansel was honest, returned all of my phone calls and even did it for less than the original estimate. He loves his job and it shows in his work! Thanks David Walthers

got referred here by a friend, ansel worked around my schedule diagnosed my problem real quick, paid what i was quoted and picked up my car that same day all fixed. probably one of the easiest dealing I’ve ever had with a mechanic.
